How the hell people spend $250 on a game?? People complain about +$10 from $60 to $70 is a lot but spend $100+ on microtransaction that's mostly cosmetic in most games. NBA 2K if you make a build that you have fun with and can win games, you don't need to spend money at all. I hate that you need to spend money to make multiple builds because people can't just play this game all the time. I have 4 builds, I don't even play with 2 of them anymore. If only I could get 75% of the VC back from those builds I can make a new good one. It's so stupid. 2K makes me wish I didn't like basketball. I have been playing basketball since 2003.

Where the hell in marketing it says about gameplay... Even fifa shows their new animations system, live crowds etc.

the most fun i ever had playing 2k was 2k11 crew mode, and that was before VC existed... you had to grind to build your player, and everyone was on an equal playing field.

Worst thing that has ever happened to me in gaming was when i noticed that I lost my 2k22 mycareer player when they took the servers down last month. I had a ton of VC. Played 2 full seasons on HOF and 12 minute quarters. Was probably my fave game to play tbh and now I don't even want a 2k game even downloaded to my system. I'm out forever. Been around since the first 2k. Oh well
I kind of feel the same way you feel about the game don't love the game don't hate the game but where we disagree is 2K 23 was a way better game than 24, just head and shoulders above. I consistently had fun playing 2K 23. 2K 24 just leaves me with an annoyed feeling.

I wish they would at least make it if you make a player and delete the player you get the Vc back as long as you haven’t made it to the rebirth level. So if you spend vc to get to 80 then you feel you messed up you can get that vc back to use on another build up to either 3 builds or rebirth
I love the fact you brought up Palworld vs Pokémon cause yeah 2K has nba licensing but if we like playing park , rec , proam, etc. with created players what’s stopping a company from giving us that without the nba behind it. I reckon they must have contracts and stuff going behind the scenes to be able to keep the monopoly on basketball games. Google why NBA live shut down it’s because 2k simply had more money behind the game so the gameplay was better and it wasn’t worth getting it over 2k. Keep in mind Nba live was made by EA it’s sus because if EA really wanted to they have the money to compete with 2k easily. Either way no smaller studio could realistically create a game with enough people playing to compete with 2k
When they apply a new patch that effects your players ability you should definitely get the option to remake and what ever badge level you had it stays the same
I literally said no to 2K this year with the Battle Pass and the Badge Regression they introduced, the game was already bad enough with the micro transactions but that was just so GREEDY. Not to mention their long standing latency issues that literally makes playing online inconsistent where depending on the latency lag your consistent shot would stop falling at no fault of the players.
This always happens when a sports game has no competition. The same thing happened with Madden. That’s why it was bad for the consumer when NBA live was done, there is no competition to force improvement. With that said bring back NBA and NFL Street.

I used to play 2k as a kid with my dad and ended up getting 2k19 when it was new to try to get some nostalgia out of it and really enjoyed the myCareer. Then they killed the service so you just lose it all completely. Never bought another one since then and I seem to have made a good decision lol

Start off in a city playing 3 on 3. Build your team RPG stats elements, reach 5 on 5, then play to make it to pro. BUT NAH LETS CRANK THESE MICROTRANASS GAMES.
2K making EA look like a amazing company. MLB The Show players make it sound like its a bad game. They have not seen what 2K does. MLB The Show in my opinion has the least amount of need to spend money on microtransaction. I have made a team in that in 5 hours that can compete with god squads. In 20 hours, I had almost all great cards except the collection rewards because I played the game in September.
This might be my last 2K. I didn't buy 2K22 because I was annoyed by 2Ks microtransactions requirement. Not everyone has infinite time to grind. NBA 2K22 was the first basketball I didn't buy since NBA Live 2003. That's how bad 2K has become. It's not even about the gameplay. Companies release quality of life improvements for their game after the game release and few patches. 2K releases the game makes sure that no one should enjoy it until they spend hundreds, make it as hard for them. You put 86 ball handle instead of 87, make a completely new build now.

I wish they would at least make it if you make a player and delete the player you get the Vc back as long as you haven’t made it to the rebirth level. So if you spend vc to get to 80 then you feel you messed up you can get that vc back to use on another build up to either 3 builds or rebirth

I love the fact you brought up Palworld vs Pokémon cause yeah 2K has nba licensing but if we like playing park , rec , proam, etc. with created players what’s stopping a company from giving us that without the nba behind it. I make builds go straight to the rec , I don’t need to play MyCareer and I don’t need to do my MyNba rebuilds that I like if there was a basketball game that I could create a player and load up with the homies and get some runs in. 2K holds NBA hostage but they can’t stop a basketball game being better
Going into rec without any badges or hot spots is wild😭 my career is needed, but it could be implemented in a street ball style to avoid the issues from 2k. Maybe a street career type of mode🤷🏽♂️

I reckon they must have contracts and stuff going behind the scenes to be able to keep the monopoly on basketball games. Google why NBA live shut down it’s because 2k simply had more money behind the game so the gameplay was better and it wasn’t worth getting it over 2k. Keep in mind Nba live was made by EA it’s sus because if EA really wanted to they have the money to compete with 2k easily. Either way no smaller studio could realistically create a game with enough people playing to compete with 2k
When they apply a new patch that effects your players ability you should definitely get the option to remake and what ever badge level you had it stays the same

I literally said no to 2K this year with the Battle Pass and the Badge Regression they introduced, the game was already bad enough with the micro transactions but that was just so GREEDY. Not to mention their long standing latency issues that literally makes playing online inconsistent where depending on the latency lag your consistent shot would stop falling at no fault of the players.
I wish as a community we just moved on from this company... But that'll never happen unfortunately
This always happens when a sports game has no competition. The same thing happened with Madden. That’s why it was bad for the consumer when NBA live was done, there is no competition to force improvement. With that said bring back NBA and NFL Street.

I used to play 2k as a kid with my dad and ended up getting 2k19 when it was new to try to get some nostalgia out of it and really enjoyed the myCareer. Then they killed the service so you just lose it all completely. Never bought another one since then and I seem to have made a good decision lol

MLB The Show players make it sound like its a bad game. They have not seen what 2K does. MLB The Show in my opinion has the least amount of need to spend money on microtransaction. I have made a team in that in 5 hours that can compete with god squads. In 20 hours, I had almost all great cards except the collection rewards because I played the game in September.

This might be my last 2K. I didn't buy 2K22 because I was annoyed by 2Ks microtransactions requirement. Not everyone has infinite time to grind. NBA 2K22 was the first basketball I didn't buy since NBA Live 2003. That's how bad 2K has become. It's not even about the gameplay.
Companies release quality of life improvements for their game after the game release and few patches. 2K releases the game makes sure that no one should enjoy it until they spend hundreds, make it as hard for them. You put 86 ball handle instead of 87, make a completely new build now.

I played this 2k all season one and a lil of season 2 but season 3 is where I quit and I’m never buying another 2k again until they change their mindset towards this game.
Its genuinely impossible to grind a build without buying vc this year lmao.
yup i play 2-3 nights a week since the beginning grinding one guy from a 60 with only online play and he just got to a 81 after 100's of games
2k is scam like that, i could play 1000 games and still not have enough VC to get 1 guy to a 90 overall.. thats insane, this game now forces you to do microtransactions

yall need to actually thank 2k like legit we have been complaining about the cost of builds with vc for a long time and now that they have specifically said basically so what theres nothing you can do about it and are getting sued this is opening the lid on all the companys that thrive of micro transactions alot of things are going to change and new companys and older ones that was pushed out due to not going down the micro transaction route are waiting and ready to pounce on a newer refreshed gaming market in the coming years for once im actually hopefull
My first 2k was ESPN 2k5, i thought id play 2k forever, times changed
I stopped playing 2K back with 20 once I got some sense. Year over year VC prices just kept going up, and “grinding” turned into an impossible task. I don’t how people can still support this, you gotta drop $50 just to get your player started
