Thanks Kiwi biker buddy I just had my phone right next to the window and at times where my phone was shaking you couldn’t tell because how much turbulence there was
Great video! I didn't think it was that scary but I've been flying for a bit. The PA by the FA was great and it's even more reassuring to hear from the cockpit crew. You don't need to be a meteorologist to see whitecaps and rough terrain to expect turbulence and gusty winds. Cheers
737 pilot here flying out of Dublin! Great to see footage like this. Dublin is pretty much like this on a weekly basis throughout winter and I don't think the footage would do the low level turbulence justice. Great capture
Yet again another very well made video and work! As always, continue with your high spirits of your passions and spreading the joy for the community despite the circumstances! Whether with direct and indirect support, I hope you keep well and wish you prosperity for you and for what you strive on achieving! 💯🙏👍
Thank you for another amazing comment Andrew you always make my day for all your amazing comments on my TH-cam channel I hope you have a lovely rest of your week 😎😎😎
Great video! I’ve been on hundreds of flights but still find a turbulent landing quite stressful, even knowing that’s all perfectly safe. Never experienced a go around yet so you’re very “lucky”, even if i’m sure it was a tad frightening. I’m happier to watch it on video than experience it myself haha. Keep it up!
thanks zagstar I have also been on lots of flights and this is the first go around I’ve ever seen/been on I was lucky but not lucky to have a girl around it was a very frightening experience thanks for the amazing support
I actually enjoy those windy landings, they are not as scary as they can feel. Just look at some of those increadable windy landing videos on YT to see that pilots can land a plane in the most extream crosswinds and weather. Remember people, landings are FAR safer than takeoffs. Regards from South Africa
Wow brilliant 👏 loved watching that ...had a similar experience landing in Funchal Madeira during a storm a few weeks ago ..amazing landing by both pilots 🎉
thanks Linda for watching this that sounds that sounds incredible hopefully I can hear some of your stories because these Stories are called incredible
Well done.. great footage.. It would be nice to be asked first before including other footage but this is awesome work Captain Josh getting it videoed. As the woman said.. they got this.. even though it feels scary the pilots are well in control.
I’m sorry for not asking you to use The footage I was going to but I forgot 😬 if you don’t want the footage in just tell me and I’ll remove it Thanks for the positive support too :)
Hi Josh! I was on your flight in seat 24F. Awesome stuff :) I saw you in the airport taking a picture of the plane. You may have seen me, I did this as well with my camera :)
Hi Kiwi flyer that was amazing that you are on the exact same flight did you video the landing interested because my phone ran out of Storage as soon as the plane landed were you the person wearing a qantas landyard
My old home. I love flying, but even i had a death grip on the arm rests once flying into good old 'windy Welly'. Nothing quite like looking out the window and seeing water, then sky, water, sky, runway.... sky 😂
That’s some nice memorabilia to share you made me laugh when you said nothing quiet looking out the window and seeing water then sky, water, sky, runway ,sky
Amazing Footage! Is it possible to use a few sections of your Sounds ?I will of course tag you in the link! I'm currently editing a flight to Skiathos in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020! Thank you and cya!
I once experienced a "touch and go" at Brussels airport due to very bad weather conditions. Quite impressive when you hear the engines restarting at full speed again !
wow that’s cool it is quite impressive just to hear the engines going Max speed again I believe that you were only meant to hear that sound once And that is during takeoff
Nice video Josh, way fun spotting you're landing and go around today, I'll send you my videos of you as well tonight so you can see them and uploads them if you want to :)
Thanks it was really scary having a go around today James yes you can send the videos and I put them alongside Kevins in my Flight report coming soon you will get credit
@@captainjoshq300 Wellington is no worse in winter than most other airports with similar topography. Just gotta expect the ass end of the plane to swing a little more 😀 And have a few extra 'speed bumps' (a bit more turbulence) coming in. That's where ya play the song Shake rattle and roll on the p a for entertainment 😀
The reason why it scary is because I’ve never experienced that turbulent of a landing before I just am saying very scary because I was very scared while it was happening I’m not trying to say it like “oh this was a really scary landing”😮😮😮😮😮
Great that the Cabin attendant made an announcement as to why the go around. Communication is key to public confidence.
yeah they did I love how Cabin Crew Tell the passages what happened I totally agree with you
Wow. Must have been pretty intense. Well captured. Great video.
Yeah, I know it was very intense thank you for the comment!
I loved the view over the wing and forward over the engine .great job👍💕
thanks i loved my seat too 😎😎😎
Great footage, Josh. Very exciting ride. I'm impressed how you manage to keep a steady hand while filming. Well, done.

Wonderful announcement and work by captain and first officer.

I fly at Weston (EIWT) just beside Leixlip, its torture landing a 152 with the Winter winds 🤣

Funny how it switched from in cabin to out. Great video. It also shows the perspective differences of what a passenger feels vs outside observer.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome video mate
Thanks mate
Great video! Fun ride. Wish you’d filmed straight down the wing. I would’ve gotten more reference to the rocking.
thanks I barely had a good View over the wing If I did I would have to put my phone right behind me and I don’t want any weird looks sorry about that
Thats happened to me and I thought it was fun lol😂 That's windy welly for you
well it’s not fun when it’s 48 knot wind
Well it was 48 knots to 90 kph winds we almost crashed hope that dose not happen tomorrow too!

That experience must have been quite nerve racking mate. That happened to my dad once and I was quite curious about what was going to happen.
Yeah it was it’s awful

Nice! That orange windsock is about as close to horizontal as you'd ever see😂
thanks that is pretty true 😎😎😎
that was similar to my go-around in NZDN on ZK-OAB. the cockpit crew told me afterwards due to shifting winds/windshear
oh nice but this was some really bad wind
Seemed like a fairly normal landing to me Wellington is a windy city so an occasional go around is to be expected.
oh okay then why have I never plane spotted go around at Wellington before?🤔🤔🤔
Look at the water, holy crap!
Yeah it is terrifying
thanks guys for the support on this video i never thought this would go viral

I like how the wing has arrows pointing to the rear.
That’s probably exactly what they wanted…”WE WANNA GO BACK!”😅
i like that too haha lol
I got over saying a prayer each time I flew but I think I might just go back saying one too myself on that flight.
that’s nice you have a strategy when you’re a bit nervous while flying
GLAD I WASN'T ON THAT ONE.
yep 🫣
That's nothing unusual for wellington. Winter time is even more fun for the pilot's taking off and landing.
oh okay I now really don’t want to fly in winter 😨😨😨

looks like any typical landing at Dublin lol
Ha ha lol
Wellington is the windiest capital city in the world.
Yep 😀
Oh well, it’s would have helped everyone forget the cardboard sandwich they’d had for lunch while their knees were jammed against the seat in front. 😎
haha lol
NOT doing a go around would've been far scarier.
That sounds so true
Stop messing with the focus..
What do you mean
Not scary at all 😂😂😂😂😂

So what is the scary bit?
I guess you are a wannabe pilot, you need to stop acting or treating aviation like how the stupid media treat it.
The reason why it scary is because I’ve never experienced that turbulent of a landing before I just am saying very scary because I was very scared while it was happening I’m not trying to say it like “oh this was a really scary landing”😮😮😮😮😮
