    Taking a look at Anker's new 757 Powerhouse. If you need a large portable power source, look no further. Anker is putting some great features and quality into the products in my opinion so if you need a smaller power supply, look to Anker first, I always do.....

    SOLD. I was always intimidated by the electrical uncertainty of multiple batteries and volts/amps......
    This is perfect for me. Big box.... panels and minimal electrical needs. Great minds think alike.
    Thanks Trip.

    So you use the anker to power your boat at anchor. Makes sense to me!

    wish it had the rv receptacle so you could plug it in to the boats shore power receptacle.

      I'm currently working on the smaller one where I can connect it simply. Will have a video about my prep for the next adventure and that will be part of it

    These power units are feature rich but if you need more power for less money you can build these type of power units.

    • @TripSmith
      @TripSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen some built and they were pretty nice... But man, all that data on the LCD is sure handy.... Can you build one that has all of that info? And with the overcharging protection with solar and stuff like that?

    • @jamesj8965
      @jamesj8965 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can get close but it wouldn't be such a small compact package like this thing. But it would have a lot more power for the money.

      A 100 AH LFE Battery alone runs about $700. Then you need a charge controller and 1500W inverter and build in all the charging ports and goodies. By the time you are done you are not far off the price of the 757.

      Your over paying for batteries

    Great video so which one do you like better ancor or bluetti best.?

    • @TripSmith
      @TripSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well.... Originally the Anker I liked best with the extra info on the LCD screen and the better light on the back.
      Recently, I learned that the Anker only accepts up to 100w of solar input vs the Bluettiwhich accepts up to 200w. Since I use a 200w panel, the Blu is now my preference.

    Could you just keep it consistently hooked up to the solor panels or would that damage it?

    • @jamesj8965
      @jamesj8965 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope. They have built in charge controllers. They would just trickle charge once topped off when necessary.

    • @TripSmith
      @TripSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      James is correct. You can just keep it plugged into the solar panels and be just fine as they have the charge controllers. Pretty nifty.....

      Sorry you feel that way Tyler. Maybe you missed the 7 videos prior this one? But not every video is for everyone. Pick and choose what types of videos you enjoy the most and just watch them ;)

      I agree they all do it , gets annoying, just do what we like to see boating , detailing cars , tinting windows etc. don’t get me wrong I don’t mine a product or two but stick to the content , besides Most won’t buy it it’s $1400 and a recession is on its way , I’m seriously worried about just putting gas in the boat …
