We were there on the 12th 13th 14th of August. It wasnt as quiet as then. Was a nice site. Nice stream the kids could play in and our puppy learnt how to swim in. Close to CoOP which was handy and also close to Black Mountain Pass. Some nice places to eat in the town. Would go again

I've just managed to subscribe! If you are in my area again you must not miss out on a trip to the Nat T. Dolaucothie (Roman) gold mines. There is even a no-frills, heavenly peaceful caravan and MH park in the delightful woodland setting - I take my dogs there almost every day - off lead through the woods. A trip to the Lyn Brianne too, quite spectacular when they are reducing the water levels.
I enjoyed seeing my usual roads being driven by someone else! Great video, thank you.

Thank you for another great vlog.
We moved to Wales last year and the scenery still amazes me. A lot of the A roads can be quite narrow, especially compared to the UK, but they are suitable for motorhomes to use; just be careful if your sat nav suggests a B road as some are single track that go on for miles with few passing places, which we discovered when taking our motorhome up through Wales earlier this year (and yes, the sat nav has our dimensions in it!).
We try really hard to pronounce the names of welsh towns and villages correctly, but even amongst the Welsh there are variations, so we just do our best.
You using an electric bike is inspiring; look forward to the review.

Great to see you in an area I know quite well. I usually head to mid wales, Rhayader direction 3 or 4 times a year to take a trip around the Elan Valley, well worth doing if you haven't seen before. A network of 3 or 4 dams similar to Clwedog. That clock junction is a nightmare at Rhayader, I usually rightly or wrongly treat it as a 4 way stop in America-ish except for the traffic from the right as you approached it because they have a stop line and the other roads in don't. Nice to see the bike in action, its on my shopping list!

Bob, half finger padded cycling gloves really help when cycling ..........help stop damage to hands and wrist from the vibration, stops hands getting sweaty in hot weather and therefore stops hands from slipping etc etc etc.

Hi Bob & jenny, how does the noise go , looks a nice site. Jenny, you should have a go on the bike too & have a basket on the front for poppy. Even better, an electric tandem for both of you with a basket for poppy. I expect the weather is cooler now, so you'll be able to feel more comfortable in your motor home, there's another heatwave coming in this week, & they say its going to be hotter than Mexico. I hope you have a lovely time & a nice rest, lots of love Linda xx ❤

Thoroughly enjoyed this video. The scenery on the drive to the site was beautiful and I loved the quaint little towns along the way. As you said parts of the site look very crowded and everything seemed very close together. The family/children's areas looked less crammed although that may have been because there weren't so many people there. I couldn't hear much of what you said while you were on the bike because the music was a bit loud. The showers and toilets looked a bit dated and I think they should remove the rusty soap holders as that made them look worse. The more I see of you on the e bike, the more I want one. I've looked at the price for the one you have and compared to others it's very good value I think. I'm looking forward to hearing your review of it. Once again thanks for a great video.

    Been camping twice in August
Once in the Yorkshire dales near , gunnerside
and a couple of weeks later near holy Island ( near Newcastle upon Tyne)
We have had some brilliant weather in July and August but every time I've been camping it has rained
But when I've come home the next day the sunshine is out and the temperature is back up , myself and the boys are going to sterling at the end of August on the train
and stopping in a premier Inn So you can guarantee the weather will be ok
    when
I have got a hotel room
it's what you call " sods law . I used to go camping at crows nest caravan park near Scarborough but every time we went in August it bounced down so I booked a B&B in Scarborough the next year and it was sunshine with 28 degrees you simply couldn't make it up

I really liked Erwlon! Compared to the sites here in Japan, it would be of 6 star hotel status! Being a Welsh speaker, the name of the site is great too and very apt for a holiday site! Erw = acre. Llon (mutated to 'lon' after 'erw') = cheerful. Very often, campsites in Welsh will take either the name of the farm it was on or the name of the field. I suspect that this time, it was the name of the original field which over time, may have also given the farm its name. It was wonderful to see the view of my fatherland. I haven't been home for 10 years now and the never ending Covid international travel regulations by the Japanese Government, plus the now longer flight route thanks to Russia invading Ukraine, my next trip back to Wales is indefinitely on hold. So, thank you for showing us all the drive through the beautiful Welsh countryside.

I bought a 13,500 BTU Coleman Mach I Power Saver A/C in the U.S. for $800 USD. I installed it myself because it is simple.
It draws 15 amps (120 V) at start up and then runs at 10 amps (120V). I also installed a “ soft-start “ current modulator on the compressor which further reduces the startup current draw and makes it possible to run the A/C on a 2500 watt (120v) portable generator.
      Treat yourself and enjoy !

When you come to Wales you should try and prenounce the correct names for the towns please it would be good before you criticise. Regarding the site that you visited in Llandovery and Ewrlon caravan park You said you asked for adults only the sight that you were on was sufficient for a camper and awning . There is a car park on site .Where you can park your car safely . The reason why there was no one up the other End of the park was because it was a Sunday afternoon and everyone Left I have been coming to this campsite for a while and I like it Because it is nice and quiet And the staff are helpful the facilities are unique and clean and friendly what more do you want if you are looking to complain about anything you will find something to complain about looks like you are a very good example .
Look forward to seeing you in Wales again

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo ปีที่แล้ว +2

I do try to pronounce the Welsh names, I'm just not very good at it, sorry about that. The pitch we were on was a bit narrow and I chose to park the car next to the motorhome, as I didn't want to leave the car with the ebike in it unattended. That was our choice. We actually liked the site, and found it fairly peaceful. Sorry that you seemed to taken offence at us.
