ill give you an "A" for effort Jeff, mine was probably the video you watched and yes the main shaft is weak in that area. you can acquire that blow-up sheet of the reel at bowfishingextreme.com or backwaterbowfishing.com . the best way to remove the "roto assembly" is to put the handles up against the table to get a better grip. however your modification will make that step difficult. the only difference in the XD and XD pro is the elongated cap, and the lever on the back. aside from that the entire inside and body are the same parts. you can actually convert the Pro back into a push button model if you wish. if you have any questions you can get me anytime on BFC, or FB. -thank you for using MUZZY!
Thanks, didn't put a whole lot of effort or any editing into it lol just kinda ran with it. It was your video I seen and I learned some good stuff from the parts I watched. Yes looking at the parts list, those two things and the built in mount look to be all there is different. I think my problem was just trying to turn the root assembly with out even trying to hold my handle since I had already had it off. On my second one it wasn't much of a problem to hold the cut handle and turn it right off. I think if people have that problem it might be better to get something like a small strap wrench or even rubber tubing just to get a better grip. Just my thinking maybe some are a lot harder to turn off then the two I've tried. Thanks for the input and good luck shooting
i watt ed your video but i am having trouble with my pop out line catcher and the spring and gear catching and not being able to turn the reel and catch the line, i was wondering if you have any help.

Have you ever had a snapback with that reel or did the line just break?
Line just broke. I’ve had the line break a couple times but have always retrieved the arrow.
