Thanks for the video, been wanting to do this to my slash as I found it just a little too long last year dragging the bumper and even exploded a tail light housing. I like my bumper directly over center of the axle. One question? Couldn't a guy just take a compass scribe set it to 3" and follow the lines of the rear tunnel piece speeding up the process and eliminating some room for error that is there by using painters tape and measurements?

Did you drill and tap new holes in the bumper to re mount it? Or drill new holes in the tunnel? Seems like on the non slash I will need to cut my bumper down but then need to drill and tap some new holes in it. Hmm
I used an aftermarket bumper. If I was going to use the factory bumper I would just drill new holes to match up the threaded holes in the factory bumper.
@@mountainsleddergarage8627 yea that's what I'm thinking. Except that the factory bumper will protrude way down into the running boards. I may cut some of it off.
I have a 165 slash boost. Is it possible to measure a 155 slash tunnel and cut off that exact amount and then run the 155 slash backwoods bumper? I wanted to get a 155 but could only get a 165 this year.

Yes, there’s a number of different ways to do it. Just want to make sure it’s 100% where you want it and makes correctly before you cut.

I just used standard 3/16 pop rivets

Yes you can. You could get the bumper and then cut off what you need to fit the bumper
