- Is the Spain tourism ban real? Lately, fake news has spread claiming that Spain is banning tourism for three years! But what’s the truth behind these shocking claims?
We've also seen headlines suggesting that Spanish people don’t want tourists. But do locals really feel that way? To uncover the truth about the Spain tourism ban, we hit the streets of Marbella to ask locals if they support tourism. Do they truly dislike visitors, or is this just another viral myth?
At the same time, we interviewed tourists in Marbella, Spain to see if they feel welcomed or if they’ve noticed any hostility.
If you’re planning a trip, you NEED to watch this before believing the hype about the Spain tourism ban!

Where I live in Spain we have only Spanish tourists. I have forgotten that I am a foreigner and complain about the tourists invading "my" town in the summer. That's a variant! As a resident of Spain, I feel like a local.
We've read those headlines too, so we're glad to see that Marbella is still welcoming visitors! Thanks for straightening that out...we can't wait :)
Thank you so much! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the video and found it informative. Marbella really is a gem! 😊❤️
Marbella is not Spanish any more.
In my opinion the ‘bans’ only show the failure of the government. For example the watercrisis, its from broken pipes which loose water, not about Spain has no water and the pipes have to be fixed by the government. Also the inability to build affordable housing and blaming it only on airbnb.
It’s my dream to live there one day..but until that day comes along I will always holiday there and book into a hotel with a reputable company. Yes the prices have gone up over the years, but the welcome i always receive and the friendly manner of all the people, from the hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, locals when I visit towns off the tourist track and try more authentic dishes, everyone is so nice. I have never once felt unsafe or unwanted. It’s a beautiful country with beautiful people and a beautiful language (which I am learning)
If I get called a Guiri, then I don’t mind as I don’t think it’s being said in a derogatory way. I was only called that once and it was by a teenager passing me on his bike. 😄
Thank you for sharing such kind words about Spain! It’s amazing to hear how much joy the country and its people bring to your travels. We see the same passion in you as we had before moving to Spain. Hopefully you will join us living in Spain soon. 😊
Muy buen video chicos, como siempre.
I think you have done a great job of debunking the myths that you hear about the ‘anti-tourist’ movement. I like how you got everyone’s perspectives.
I was in Andalusia and Madrid last year with some friends, and one of the things we made a commitment to was respecting locals and their way of life, and I found that same respect was reciprocated.
But we’re Latin Americans, so it easier for us to relate to the culture.
We’ll be back soon, you just have to introduce us to the the first two girls who appeared in the video. 😂 jk. Continue making great content lads. Saludos!
I wish London would of done the same; you need a million plus for a shoe box, thank you for sharing this with current news posts it’s putting us off buying over there, your vid has helped us grow confidence again ❤
Housing is being brought up by large corporations all over the world and being turned into short term rentals. They must be regulated otherwise there will be no affordable housing anywhere left in the world. My partner and I are looking forward to visiting Spain soon. It looks beautiful and we are studying the language!
Good video. I think that if rental prices come down as a result of regulation, both locals and tourists will benefit from it. Governments around the world should prioritize the people, not the oligarchs.
Oh and great video again Gents. I love the way and the speed that the lady who works in a medical centre talks, I can understand her really well. Thank you Señora if you are reading this. You helped with my daily Spanish studies tonight.
Thank you! We will be visiting London mid February to make a video about London. Let us know if you want to grab a coffee.
@@thepakspan I will absolutely let you know.

Gran video¡¡¡🎉

without tourists spain was a 3 world country.
Tourism accounts for only 12% of Spanish economy and specially now that the rest of Europe is struggling, Spain’s economy is growing rapidly in all directions specially services.
el 3 mundo sera R.U. fuera de Europa,
@ the uk made spain costal areas. without the british it would still look like a shack.
