Clearly speed played a factor, however Michigan's motorist laws governing all factors including "right of way" will determine fault. It initially appears police were traveling at speeds greater than the posted speed limit, at which time the deceased gentleman's vehicle turned in front of them consequently be stuck. Numerous factors will ultimately determine "fault."
Release the dash/body camera footage. Why is the news helping cover this story up? People want factual answers, not speculative ones from people who weren't involved. Also, notice they'll name the victims but never name the police officers... That's not ok, either.
