@@micky_hikes In one of your other videos, you weren't quite sold on the Stealth 1 silnylon and said that it was quite fiddly to pitch. Did you just get used to it or find that the bigger version or the dcf material solves the problems you had?
@@claudia1215 yeah, I got some advice in the comments which helped. Get some guy line and measure to Marc’s specified width of the front corners and tie to the peg out loops to ensure you pitch the front corners the correct distance apart. I now do that and peg those 1st before adding the pole, pegging the front centre and then going and doing the back end which is much easier to make ‘square’ once the front is up.
I'm thinking of getting the Stealth 2 camo version, only downside I can see is how far you have to stretch your hand to close the zip when inside the tent! Would you say that's a fair assessment?
Another good video. Thanks. Can I ask where did you get that soup pot from, unlike the things I use they look the part. I use those clip down lid things but I've had a couple of accidents with them I now put them in a very large ziplock just in case, which is not good.
Cheers! The soup pot is a BOL soup pot. You can get them in many supermarkets - think I got mine from Morrisons…. The pot is microwave safe so fine for putting boiling water in but the main thing is the lid is totally leak proof! Plus the size is spot on for a good sized meal. Pot weighs 55g empty as well which is pretty good going…
I'm about to treat myself to the Stealth 1 camo dcf in the new year, glad to see you had a dry and secure (if loud) night!
It really is a great tent - but yes it is like sleeping inside a drum when it rains! Earplugs are being added to my kit for next year :-)
