I was about to ask if all the same parts wpuld work with the magpul backpacker. what is the estimated total cost building compared to a factory ruger takedown
@@tinglemccringleberry8899 I also threw a Binary trigger on there so for some close in rapid plinking when I feel the itch to go fast it always gets some smiles.
I have 3 mounted Vortex Defenders. Have had no issues with any of them and batteries last a long time. They are mounted on guns from 9mm to 45 ACP. Holds its zero. Love the knurled front of the optic, it can be racked on any surface if need be. Don't forget the lifetime warranty from Vortex!
Caleb, these are great, thank you. You make me feel confident enough to build my own. I liked the Volquartzen build you did the other day. There are just SO MANY flippin' choices...I literally can't figure out exactly WHAT to build!!!
Not sure how much I'll be investing in my takedown but still fun to watch the video. Trying to get the best out of the stock configuration before doing any modifications (besides the bolt release and magazine) or upgrades. Know the rifle can shoot better than I can Anyone have a recommendation for optics that fit in the 10/22 takedown bag or easy to dismount.
What's the rough pricing for that whole setup? Been thinking about getting a 22/take down but would rather do a build like this then buy the Ruger set up. Great vids as usual!!
Does anyone make a receiver extension but that can be installed and removed without tools? That would be great as it would allow the receiver extension and stock to be removed basically breaking it down into 3 sections instead of 2.
I built mine with that TacSol barrel and it wouldn't group with any ammo I could find. A double charged case blew it up and I replaced it with a Volquartsen barrel...shoots like a dream.
The rubber "buffer" is a bad idea for the 10/22. The patent (expired) covers the cam at the back of the bolt that acts better than a buffer. The rubber buffer screws that up. The cam (not a plastic buffer) is why the 10/22 has them slowest cyclical rate.
This video made it pretty obvious how little experience Caleb actually has working on machines. For example, after tightening the grip, even a basic mechanic knows that you twist a tiny bit in the opposite direction to get the bit out 😂 banging the gun on the bench is not the way. Also, blue loctite does NOT need a torch. 🤦🏻♂️ lastly, no mention of lubrication.
I appreciate how they edited out 15 minutes of him cussing about the stripped screwhead on the rear sight because of the blue locktite. :)
😂
Brownells please make your website usable again.
Now y’all should definitely list this as one of the “dream build” guns on the website!
I’ll stick with my Magpul backpacker take down stock, love it. Used all the same receiver and barrel on my build absolutely love it.
Love the Magpul backpacker takedown.

I’ve been running this Chassis system with a Tac Sol X-Ring TD and 10” pistol barrel suppressed and it’s been a dream.
That’s really what that chassis is made for. I’m sure it’s a lot fun.

I really enjoyed watching this build. Just as I do the others. Keep them coming. God bless.
First of all, I love the videos.
You guys should add the build price at the time of the video.
Thank you.

I love watching this stuff!
I'm liking this series
What is the MSRP cost of this build?
This is exactly what I wanted to know. The total cost of all parts
Nice run through of the installation
Another Great Video 💯 Thanks Brownells 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
I would like a show on your tool box if thats what the green box is , like what's in and where u got it
Yes, definitely!
They did one 6 months ago

th-cam.com/video/4kr7KbkYNiE/w-d-xo.html Brownells Armorer's Tool Case Gen III 👍
I'll give you a hint.... he got it at Brownells. lmfao 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well it's available at the Brownells and they have a video on it. Don't remember which one.
would be great to have the product links listed in the notes, great video

Very nice build.
Very nice, I'm intrigued.

The 10/22 can go as cheap as you like or as expensive…. Like how you can build up your ar-15
@@4g63attack Well, as cheap as I like is around 50$
Wonder how much all of this?
I wish there were more barrel variety’s available.
Did he ever find the tiny detent ball that fell out of the rear sight when he removed it tho?
Is the receiver with smooth top discontinued? I want that one since the railed one will block the iron sight on the barrel. Thanks

What tool kit are you using with the torque wrench and all the attachments?
Says it won't fit most after market parts. Will it fit the bolt made by Pike Arms?
I like it! I want one now!
OTF's are handy.
Cost of all parts? Are all parts available from Brownells? Cheers!
What part is the part that needs the background check?
The receiver
Do they make a version of this chassis with a Pic Rail rear stock attachment?
Love your knife who makes it!?
What tool box is that?
How do u take it apart the clean?
You probably won't answer this but i would love to know what that package costs with the gunsmiths pricing
is that the only style of forend that midwest industries make for that application?
Cost and final weight of this build please??? Bull barrel noted.
Really cool
What is that green tool box you have?
Very nice!
What length is the barrel?
Can you send me a complete parts list to do the same build?
They are listed on our webpage under the same video.
What type of otf knife are you using, and how do you like it?
Can I find all of the parts for this at Brownells? I would love to build one.
Sure can!
Awesome! Thanks.@@CalebSavant
I have a ruger charger take-down , can I possibly turn that into a take-down rifle?. I live in Missouri if that's a problem. Thanks for any&all info 👍
Different receiver, your charger is more like the standard 10/22, not the take down model
There's no issue when turning a pistol into a rifle as long as your barrel is at least 16"
When you have an entire machine shop and production warehouse at your finger tips..... Get to redo and make basically every cool rifle out there..
no staking the buffer tube lock ring?
You aren't using the buffer tube as a buffer tube for this rifle. The tube only exists to hold onto the stock
I built mine with that TacSol barrel and it wouldn't group with any ammo I could find. A double charged case blew it up and I replaced it with a Volquartsen barrel...shoots like a dream.
Wat?
You should have put the build cost.
cool
"Burn that bridge" 😂

Wilson combat grease, I put that sh!t on everything 😂
Most of this build isn't in stock.

he didnt say torch, said some heat. big differencr between torch and variable setting heat gun
Lmao who needs instructions amiright?
I HATE the Ruger 10/22 take-down rifle ! It causes it to be NOT accurate. Ruger's poor quality control makes me soooo angry ! 😡 !!!!!!
This one is accurate!
😂 Learn how to shoot.
Sounds like a skill issue
I’ve not had trouble with the 10/22 but the CZ 457 is a .22 built like a real gun. It comes with a real gun price tag though.
@@CalebSavant Hey, do you remember which in/lbs torque driver you have? it looks super convenient
That "affordable" trigger is $194... lmfao
Stop being poor.
