I can too but not this version. This would never have gone anywhere. Fans still want to hear it so she does it but kind of throws it away. Sinatra never liked “Strangers in The Night” but it gave him a number 1 hit at the height of The British Invasion so he kept it in his set the rest of his career. While he would joke about the song, he always sang it as recorded. Pet had her hits, but Sinatra had a huge menu to pull from and sang this because he felt it had been important to his career and his fans wanted to hear it. I think Petula should do it faithfully or dump it. It’s not a novelty song!
