Awesome job Bella! People don't realize how exhausting bowling comp can be. Really start feeling the burn after so many games. Great endurance and perseverance. Also just want to say great job to the camera man and editing crew for the vid. Great coverage and nice lofi beats.
Bella, you’re absolutely a powerhouse already. I hope you keep this up all the way through to the Hall of Fame. I’m 26 and I want to be like you when I grow up. Congrats on the opportunity, you did great!!
I recall Bella L.C. recently being runner up in one of these tournaments and massively impressing me with her ferocious determination and concentration over something like nine games, and only once falling below 200! She just blew me away at 13 years of age, particularly after watching her in minor comps. and then witnessing very little concentration / consistent pre-shot routine.
I don't recall those games in detail but several things stuck in my mind:
(a) Notwithstanding her slight frame she had an unusually physical delivery which would tax anyone. She was clearly tired towards the end but brilliantly disciplined both her body and mind and held everything together. Although such an event is not as draining as say an ultra running event it does take a serious toll and so it's important during comp. to sip on a non-caffeinated energy drink and, if one's stomach can take it, nibble on something - maybe a banana or energy bar? (Even if one has 'boosted' with carbs. just before competing). The concentration needed in comp. alone will seriously deplete one's energy level.
(b) When she correctly locks into an oil pattern she can string together an impressive run of strikes. BUT she is weak on converting spares, particlarly around the 7 pin. This arises due to several issues (i) Lack of concentration and pre-shot routine (ii) Being in a hurry, and (iii) An inability to be able to throw a truly straight ball, except on rare occasions. There is usually at least a ball 2 board r-l drift. Historically it was possibly not routinely the case but nowadays most top pros. have the capacity to completely take out all oil patterns by rolling a perfectly straight ball. Bella must learn and hopefully master this skill. Only then will she achieve her massive potential.
I don't follow many youngsters' progress due to their errors but Bella is such an exciting prospect - both bowling and gurning.
This girl is not only top of her age group, but she's most likely top of the professional women as well. Ridiculously talented and such a joy to watch.

When I was in high school I was the captain of my bowling team and one of the top 10 bowlers on NYC. You already are great but take it from another bowler-don' t take those one pin spares for granted. When you miss them you lose a lot of wood. Your great because you put strikes together but spares can win games. If I was on the PWBA I would be very worried knowing you will be there soon. Keep up the good bowling.

This is my home center. The lanes (new HPL) were installed in July '22 before that they were over 30 years old. My PSO was there as well (in the bowlersmart shop)

Bella,if youd just slow your roll on your single pin spares,take your time.Bowling at the pro level takes patience.Remember,its not a sprint its a marathon and spares win tournaments. Your ability to duplicate your release on your strike ball,is incredible.Your incredible.These girls although very good are not even in your league,pun intended. No excuse to miss single pin cross lane spares.Slow it down a tad. You will be in the Hall some day mark my words.Your parents have done an amazing job,too.!!! Can you say Name in Likeness?? Endorsment deals?? Their already infiltrating NCAA sports. Your 13, someone should lock you in BLC. Just dont get burned out or pregnant and your future will be unparrelled in womans bowling and perhaps womans sports. Mom and Dad get your daughter a sports agent if you havent already.
