packing our clothes in packing cubes... we swear by them for camping. Another great video.

Great observations, bedding made me laugh, I’m a list maker! Also I’m a leisure battery obsessive. It’s sobering to see how you can manage in a smaller space with really few possessions, but to have the close companionship these kind of travel opportunities provide. Shared adventures, meeting ‘challenges’ and new horizons, while health and finances are sound, are so precious. I hope you both are able to have a long time to be ‘curious’ about the world together in your cosy camper van.

We will certainly have a good go while we can 😊 I forgot about the time we went to the lakes hiking in winter and I forgot all of my coats so just had a t shirt and a fleece 🥶 🌧️

Fabric tape! Absolutely brilliant for the rattles. 😉

Just happened upon your channel, and as I’ve retired early and am actively looking for a camper van it’s great too see how you’re doing. Now to catch up on your previous posts👍

Im thinking of buying a camper or motorhome for me, my wife and dog, to explore the UK and Europe. My head says camper, but my heart says motorhome. Im just not sure a camper will be big enough. I'm 6 foot 2 and my wife is 5 ft 11. A pros and cons video would be very useful. Thanks for the vid. New subscriber.

The vw transporter size camper is certainly snug at times particularly in winter when we don’t put the roof up. We plan to move to a bigger crafter size van in a few years for more space and maybe on board facilities for when we are older and planning longer travel trips. For our purposes at the moment the van has been perfect as it drives like a car, parks anywhere and we can go anywhere with it being our main vehicle. Probably hiring a van for a weekend would give you a sense of practicality? Richard likes the idea of a pros and cons video!

Quick question. How did you manage 14 weeks? Surely the rule is now 90 days in every 180 days (14x7=98). Or was that a slight error in your video?

We were houseless for 14 weeks and spent most of it in the UK, particularly the Scottish islands. We only had 24 days in the alps 🚐

When we look to get our new van in a few years I think we probably will go for them 🚐
