“To understand what I am saying, you have to believe that dance is something other than technique. We forget where the movements come from. They are born from life. When you create a new work, the point of departure must be contemporary life -- not existing forms of dance.” -Pina BAUSCH

the music, the lyrics, the dissonance...it's just amazing! and though the dancing is incredibly strange, it really fits with this song. i can't stop listening!

Great song!! I saw Pina and it was the first time I listened to this song. So I looked for more tunes of this artist and I found out that Jun Miyake is actually great!! He has a lot of excellent songs like Lillies of the Valley, All names, and Alviverde!! Hey, thanks for the lyrics by the way haha!

I can not watch this part is to familiar in my case. I take it as she is in a deliverate attept to escape but she is tide from her waits (her womb into that space in time) Her inner self is still attached to anything that is not allowing her to become free. Thank you for posting this I love Pina God Bless..

Pina Bausch always felt inspired by her choreography and performance art techniques inspired a lot of my earlier art work when I was an art student

I know it's not easy to watch this video but I don't know why. Perhaps it is a melancholy truth about our life or perhaps it's not a truth but like a bad dream.
in any case, I like your interpretation, I mean, maybe she herself is both, prisoner and turnkey at the same time.

    hi, thanks for your comment!
I don't know what you expected but I can only say how I see it. there is a woman who face up with her capivity or her limits.
and there are 2 women, one planted the other one in the ground. then you see a small tree which has grown.
why this happens? what or who is this tree?
anyway, now you need your own interpretation. so, I think it's art.

Le solite cose pseudo-artistiche senza vero senso, che però si danno abilmente un'aura di mistero da.. apparire sensate. L'arte contemporanea non esiste.

I really dislike the super over the video. It interferes with the space in which the dancer is performing, a major sin in my opinion when you post a dance video. it would work better as a scroll along the bottom or not at all.
