This raga can evoke a sense of peace, contentment and fulfillment. I hope this rendition also does the same to you. :-)

Vijay Kannan
This probably is the only channel where flute is available unplugged. Without even tabla. Sometimes that aalaap or swar vistaar or raag badhat is all one needs.
Thank you 🙏

Hi Anuraag...my two cents.... Youth taking up western music is not such a bad thing I feel....Our music will not die as long as people like yourself keep supporting artistes who do play and perform our music....Much like how Yoga is returning back to India as it has become popular in the West, there will come a time probably when Indian classical music also becomes popular amongst the youth :-)
Please, Nevers let it die ( it would bé a great loss for humanity).
I am trying to keep it alive in France trying to be a bansuri player.
Thanks for your job.
Nice rendition.

This is very beautiful music. Why it is so different from Pandit Hari Prashad Chaurasiya’s Raag Hamsadhwani?
Thank you merin. I was trained in carnatic music from South India and so I try to mix influences of both hindustani and carnatic music approaches towards raga alaaps. Maybe that's why...? :)
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia is from Hindustani Gharana! And He does not often does alaps to that extent only revolving around the wadi swar and samwadi swar, here in this case is Sa and Pa... but here Vijay did... thats the reason it sound little different as he has the influence of Carnatic music! And Hamsadhwani is originally carnatic!
And to be honest my guru is a trainee of Pt. HP chaurasia!
Thank you ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you 🙏
😍😍😍😍😍😍
:-)
Greetings Vijay ! Excellent rendition. Could you tell me which Scale Bansuri are you using ?
Yes???
Vijayji what a masterpiece you have created! Please let me know how can I send you money as a token for appreciation.
Thank you for your kind words... You can support me by buying the music from the links given in the description of the video... Also you could share it with your friends and family 🙏🙏
Vijay Kannan Ji, I have a very interesting thing to share. My 4 year old son Udayan goes to sleep as soon as he listens to this raga. He enjoys this raga very much. We have given it our own name Kokan, the evergreen Western ghats. I am transported to that forest place immediately on listening to this raga. I think this raga resonates with the soul of jungles and mountains.
Very happy to hear this... Thank you so much for sharing ... I wish your son and your family the best... Thank you for your loving support 😇🙏
What is the difference between Hamsathavani and Hansthavani
No reply for my comments. Is it cilly question? If you don't answer me how the carnatic music will grow???
Sorry sir... I'm trying to reply only now to comments... Two different pronunciation/spelling for the same raga... Hamsadhwani is a raga that went to North Indian Hindustani music from Carnatic music.
