Great video! I'm a teacher and bought this keyboard to be able to use with multiple devices. However, I also use it interactively when walking around the classroom, to allow pupils to type in answers on the screen displayed at the front of the class! Use the keyboard with Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Bluetooth - great combo (Also bought it's big brother the K780) - so easy to use! Thanks for the review.
Thank you for your comprehensive review of this keyboard. You covered off a lot of aspect that a potential buyer would like to know when looking for a good wireless keyboard to buy, and it’s comforting to know that you still stick by this keyboard after long term use.
On mine the doubling of letters happens only if you type immediately after switching devices and goes away without restarting the keyboard when the connection is established (5-7 seconds). I suspect this is caused by the older Bluetooth standard is uses. I also own a Bluetooth 5 numpad and that one connects in 2-3 seconds without letter doubling. Hope Logitech will eventually refresh it with newer technology as the alternatives from Microsoft, for example, although using Bluetooth 5 LE, have a poorly thought out layout (missing right ctrl key and home, end, pg up, pg down, mixed on the function keys row instead of having them on the arrow keys using fn)
Thank you for the nice review. I have the Japanese version of this K380. I love how logitech makes a lot of regional versions. I have to totally agree, that the keyboard-device switch is pretty handy, the built quality is pretty solid, and how it's quite heavy, almost as heavy as my iPad hahaha XD. It's very quiet, no rattle, no squeak, the perfect keyboard to have on places requiring quietness like libraries, classrooms, or other public places. Though, I still couldn't type very fast because I just still can't get used to the circle keys. I'm used to reach for the corner of the regular square keys of my laptop, so...
@@w2best I bought it around the middle of 2018. Though yes, I only uses this keyboard for my iPad and Xiaomi phone, which probably total to around 4-8 hours per week until just before 2020. In 2020 I fully moved to typing on my laptop square keyed keyboard. I can type perfectly on the k380, but I just still can't get used to it because my bad typing habits...pressing keys from the corners of the keys...to reduce my finger movements (lazy bum, I am)... the corners which k380 doesn't have... XD
I have the keyboard since 2016., and it is my main keyboard while travelling and around my house too. It is durable, and already dropped many times. :) Yes, the keys is a bit stiff and needs little more force, but it is very silent.. a big plus for me, because I can type in my bedroom and not distrubing anyone's sleep. It uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries.. is big plus also. The battery's life is more than a year, and I change it easily.. It is very economical too, compared to wireless keyboard using built-in rechargeable battery, which is dificult to replace , and battery life is not as long. I wish Logitech makes updated version of this keyboard, with Bluetooth 5 LE + Unifying wireless technology. . Thank you for the nice review.
Thanks for the comment! The battery life is def. outstanding. I actually tried putting my mechanical keyboard on my work desk and couldn't be bothered and switche back to the Logitech, so It's my main keyboard not only my travel keyboard now.
Great video. The 2 letter input error was similar to my m590 logitech mouse. Normally it happen when I switch from one device to another, and the side key use for back and forward would trigger twice (despite only press once).

I've had this for maybe 3 years. Can you tell me please if there's a later version where they've added some way to know you're in Caps Lock, e.g., some indicator light that will go on? Thank you!
Hi, if you plan to stick with this keyboard still, you may choose to turn on "Hear when toggle keys like Caps lock and Num lock are turned on or off" - so you will hear a beep whenever you press caps lock! Sadly it doesn't help to know if you're already in caps or not, but well here's just a suggestion :)
the saddest part of this keyboard that, there are no backlit option in it, they could also use some sort of element that would make the letters visibile without backlit option.

Hi...I am thinking of getting this keyboard so I can touch type on my mobile devices....I do have major sight loss and really want a tactile feel bluetooth keyboard.....I have a logitech mechanical keyboard with blue switches for my desktop which I totally love...but want something versatile that I can take places and type comfortably....I am wondering if this is it... thank you ..such a great review!

Hello .. I just got this today but when I want to use the @ symbol and press shift and @ it comes as : ‘ ... how to use @ ?? And how do I capitalize letters?
I currently I have a Targus KB55 and am nit able to control the video playback of youtube on my Samsung tab! But can I be able to control the video playback of youtube with the Logitech K380 on my android tab?
If you have tested that pressing left or right arrow key skips video 19 sec forward or backward (on an ANDROID device), I'd go on to return KB55 and buy a logitech K380 instead.
@@divamsingh884 I'm typing from the keyboard on my phone now. Pressing forward in the TH-cam app skips to the next video. That's what I like it to do at least :)
I don't understand why have a "click test" when obviously most people ordering these minimalist keyboards are targetting a quieter simpler keyboard and not a mechanical keyboard in the first place.
@@w2best Well then you are not understanding the context that defines the keyboard its like judging a spoon for how well it can chop onions. I can understand the fact that it's a biased review based on your personal preference, usually good reviews try to put aside personal opinions and rate based on a metric specific to the product's domain of customers. How long have you had it? It took me a few months to get used to the round keys but now I'm as fast on them :)

I don't bother for a mobile keyboard but i see your point. If i got to choose between batteri life and backlight i def choose battery.

No they haven't updated that! Luckily my laptops have that - which is really nice. I really like it regardless.

I'm not sure what you mean. How do you see that? I never really look at the keys when I'm typing, so I'm not in that big need of backlight or light.

This has not at all the same tactile feel as a mechanical keyboard. It's a bit worse than most laptop keyboards to give you an idea.

In my book it's as important if you're looking for a silent keyboard. Maybe even more important.
