- Monte Durham is the fashion director on TLC hit show Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. He is also on the show Say Yes to the Prom. However, behind the scenes he is much more. He is involved in multiple charities and has a touching message for us all be kind and except everyone no matter their background.
Gay, straight, or indifferent, Monte Durham is a first-rate, first class human being. Giving of himself to others even without cameras is so awesome, and a great example. We can all do more to help others! ♥️ to Monte!

I meet Monte in an Atlanta mall and I asked him for his advice regarding my clothing choice for an upcoming job interview. I got the job! Also Monte invited me to come to the store and I loved it.

I've discovered SYTTD during these times of staying home more than ever before. I really enjoy the programs from Bridals by Lori in the Atlanta area. Watching this interview I was struck by how much Monte and Lori resemble one another. I began noticing that about 3:00 minutes into the program. They look like they could be siblings, maybe even twins if they're close in age.
My favourite SYTTD episodes are the Atlanta , Lori and Monte are so good to watch

I love Monte, & I love that he is open not only about being part of the LGBTQ community, but that he's also open about growing up poor. There are so few role models for poor kids, so few opportunities for poor kids to see ourselves reflected in the media, & it can mean we grow up without a vision of who we can be. Monte is a great role model for kids from poor backgrounds (& everyone else too!), & his life is a demonstration of where perseverance, hardwork & kindness can take you.

I adore Monte! What an adorable child also! Not to mention handsome teenager. I can t imagine that he would be bullied. Such mean nasty people in this world. Probably jealousy and insecurity. Insecure people that need attention think they make themselves look above and better than they are by making others look lower and smaller. And they are soooo wrong. No one but other bullies that are insecure falls for it though.

Great interview, learned a lot about Monty and why he is the way he is. Kudos to his parents and grandparents for instilling in him to be so giving and caring to all.
I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and have 6 siblings. My Dad worked and my Mom stayed home with us. They were born and raised in a small town in North Dakota. So we have midwestern values and morals. Proud of how we were raised and taught to help others whenever possible. A great example so like to think I have things in common with Monty!

I am a HUGE JACKIE KENNEDY Fan. I am a lover of the White House and especially Jackie Kennedy's restoration and redecoration she did with the help of Jansen. Her Blue Room was absolutely stunning and I hope one day we will have a WH Committee that will restore it back to the Splendid appearance it had while she was First Lady. I love her style and look and my Mom always had the Jackie K look as long as she lived.

He's a sweetheart. Back in our days people really made it hard for Gay people. But, my Mom always had a soft spot in her heart for Gays, people of color, was good and loving to them. No discrimination. My Father was very discriminating. Be careful how you judge people, never know when it can hit home. I enjoyed Monte story. Thank you. Monte was marvelous in this interview, which was really more like a monologue. Would love to see him interviewed by Maria Bartiromo, where they discuss what Monte's learned about human nature, not only from his struggles growing up but also from the fraught world of bridal drama.
Maria's programming focuses on financial news and issues, but she does have guests of general interest from time to time. I think her Brooklyn vibe and Monte's WV/GA sensibilities would make for wonderful conversation. I'd also like to see Monte have the benefit of wider exposure that Maria's program would bring. One of her shows is always at the top of the weekly cable ratings.

Randy I was a professional singer and my gowns came from ELIZABETH ARDEN RED DOOR IN NEW YORKS 5TH AVE.STILL HAVE ONE AND ITS GEORGOUS. OF COURSE DID NOT SING UNDER THIS NAME ITS MY LEGAL ONE. LOL
I can't watch it on TV but he is the reason I watch it online. Atlanta is my favorite "SAY YES TO THE DRESS." I love his "disguise" when he went out to get the pregnancy test for the client.🤣 He was afraid someone might see him. 🤣 I think he is just hilarious. I never knew his last name until now and never knew he had so many talents.
Love watching Monte and Lori on SYTTD - Atlanta they are great together and you see a genuine friendship between them. I love it when he Jack's up the Brides be making them look beautiful.
