If you're going to replace the heater core, you should also replace the heater hose plastic junction fitting on the firewall. These too are plastic and are prone to breaking.
That's a beautiful colour! I have a 2003 C70 convertible T5, owned for about 4 years, its cost me an awful lot getting it back into shape but worth every penny. Biggest issue I had was the steering rack brackets snapping, very common issue on the C70 and literally impossible to find another rack (trust me I searched for months online, at breakers, specialists in Sweden, volvo etc.) So had mine removed, refurbished and put back on. Job cost me about £1500. Sometimes they can be welded in place which would be a lot cheaper however mine was also leaking hence the full refurb. Look forward to your videos!
Such a great looking classically elegant design, great video. Sorry but I am a C70 geek and the front grill is from the pre-facelift model and the Canisto alloys were not available after 2002, still a truly stunning car!!
Thank you! I wonder how it ended up with those wheels, perhaps is was a stock car that was built in 2002 but not registered until 2003. Always nice to learn more about the C70s, I wish I could get my hands on a brochure from the same year to go with the car.
good video just so you know the adjustments on the windows are a nightmare on mine the steel wires snapped and volvo wanted £1500 per side to fix we bought used units which my mechanic fitted he said never again
I want to get an update out on the 745, its waiting for some welding before an MOT but with a recent job change and no access to a ramp it’s been difficult to get it done. Also I fractured my ankle a few weeks ago so I have a big moon boot on at the moment!
@@db192 holy man! I hope it heals well. I myself fractured my scaphoid bone last summer. So I know how much it sucks. Had to wear a casket for 3 weeks.
very nice brought same one last year @ 55k same colour. fortunately nothing wrong with it but few scratches after running over a bucket other then that paint work is great. the sad thing is im using for my work 15k a year easy i do feel like am slowly destroy the interior
Thanks I brought my one last week of Sept. I think they call it Magic Blue like yours. I have the Comet wheels. They are shot to bits. I'm interested to see how you recondition yours. I'm going to do mine Gold .
I just bought one from 2000 for cheap and pick it up in 2 weeks. It has new mot and service, so I hope it runs well, otherwise I have some ideas from your video😄
I own a 1995 850 T5 CD wagon and a 2000 Mk1 C70 2.3 T5 coupe in Saffron orange, Compared to the 850 the C70 interior is pretty crap TBH, Melted looking sticky door switches and wafer thin leather on the seats etc, Definately cheapened down compared to the 850 which has a high quality interior and leather, I sort of blame it on Fords cost cutting which owned Volvo in the late 1990's.
Ah the love of old volvos! Can’t wait to see it fixed up!!
I don’t learn my lesson! 😂

I’ll bear that in mind, luckily I was able to get a workshop guide on how to adjust them and also how to replace the regulator if I mess it up! 😂
Great video as always! Cant wait for the next Volvo 745 video :D

I’m sure it will run beautifully if it’s been well maintained, Volvos were built to last!
@@db192 Hope so - looking forward to it!🏎
Black contact adhesive from Stormsure on its way to you.
Thank you!
I need help with my roof dam chime ... I think it will work with not much work
I didn’t have any problems with the roof chime so I can’t help but hope you get it sorted!
This is a facelift C70, right? How many km (or miles)? Most be a lot for just £800, I guess.
Yes it’s the facelift. It only has 70000 miles so should be ok for a long time!
Just sell it in parts, it’s worth at least 4 times what you paid for it (at least on the continent).
I sold it on for the same price I bought it for whilst it was still Summer. Couldn’t justify having the car and not using during Winter.
