I believe they could have offered her a job on the show with a condition that she get sober and I believe she would have done it for the show. I really do. It’s the only thing she cared about more than drinking. Di is a people pleaser. They could have offered her a job of some kind put conditions she got sober and she would have got clean or given it everything she had anyway. If they did that and then told her they wouldn’t speak to her again or take her calls if she didn’t sober up, she would have. Pity they didn’t try that

I'm so curious about her earlier years and wish I could have heard from her mom, dad, and the brother named Bobby that her son mentioned. It's my theory that her parents made her join the Navy to get her out of the house because she had no interest in work or school. Somewhere she developed an attitude of, "If I don't acknowledge it, it doesn't exist," and I think it happened disturbingly early in life. It would have been more responsible to put her son up for adoption.
