    I start an assignment in St Louis, MO n 2 wks. I found my own apt n walking distance from the hospital. If u want 2 travel, try Trulia. Many of their apts do 3-12 month leases. I picked an apt that's a little more money, but not too much, where I am near public transportation as well. I chose 2 b close 2 work, so my quality of life is satisfactory. I don't want a commute...just get off & b home n 10 minutes. Research research research is ur best friend b4 going on an assignment. Expect the unexpected & b prepared 4 anything. Keep a positive attitude no matter what.

    So what is a good pay range to ask for as a brand new travel nurse?

    • @celestialnurse07
      @celestialnurse07 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the location, your specialty and your life circumstance. Gotta consider the cost of living in the area where you work at. For example as an OR RN, I don't accept anything below $2000 in Washington state but in Cali I don't accept anything below $3000 because I am paying for a mortgage and anything lower than those rates won't work for me.

      I majored in biology. If you wanna be a nurse biology would be your best that. I also like the fact that biology does encompass a lot of the prerequisites for a lot of healthcare professions. That way if you decide that you don’t want to be a nurse I wanna pursue something else in the medical field you can use all those prerequisites to go towards that degree.
