I love that mythra actually has a cooking ability at campsites. Anytime you get a chance look at what items she can cook and the ingredients. It's pretty funny. There's even a sidequest in gormott where a soldier is feeling homesick so he asks the party to make him some authentic ardanian food just like his mom used to make. The party then has Jin make the food. Bring it back he'll say this is delicious, but it tastes nothing like my mom used to make. You then try the same recipe with mythra and bring it back to him. He eats it, says it's awful and then thanks the party for being able to successfully recreate his mom's cooking. He then further comments how his mom was the worst cook ever.

Kind of felt sorry for both of them. Their reactions were similar to Yu and Yosuke in Persona 4 during the camp trip over a bite of Yukiko and Chie cooking Mystery Food X. Not sure if the producers got that joke idea from Persona since some of the girl characters can't cook with disastrous results from the boys in just a bite.

If you pay attention to the character interactions, the party tend to point out a lot of Mythra’s flaws, like her lack of compassion, abrasiveness, arrogance, and of course terrible cooking. Pyra can be discribed as compassionate, gentle, humble, and a great cook. Mythra crafted Pyra to be what the the party wanted her to be more like.
Jasper Javillo and that plays into how she thought she wouldn’t need to come out at all. She literally made a persona like that in the hopes she would not have to step in and could just have Pyra go on the mission to ask to die without getting involved. And while I feel for Pyra since she does become her own person as the game goes on, thematically it’s better for Mythra’s arc if Rex takes the path of calling the third form Mythra to show how he likes her true self the most

To quote Mythra just before you make the choice, “they’re both me.” It didn’t matter to her which name you Rex choose since they’re both parts of the Aegis Pneuma. Besides, Rex defaulted to calling her Pyra just before they fell into Morytha when the Artifices knocked them down. Pretty sure Pyra was meant to be the “canon” choice.
