She's very different as a support to be honest. She's the entire Sub-DPS! Yelan is a great tier at this point. Her Burst and Elemental helps boosting up the damage and her Charge Attacks after using elemental skill looks very similar to Ganyu.
i think its faster than ganyu actualy, yelan charge attack with her skills active is like an impact nade the moemment it hits something it just explodes while ganyu has a small delay that sometime enemies that can run like charging shield hilitchurls or pyro ones can sometimes dodge the second damage if you didn't hit them directly
@@allenkagami2438 Not to mention her elemental skill is also Very similar to Sara since her Charge attack just loads up quickly. I forgot to notice that. But thanks for reminding more Yelan's ability.

I just got Yelan today, but for some reason mine looks different...
She has a big hat and is using a catalyst instead of a bow. I'm thinking it's a bug and a future patch will fix it soon.

Im jealous... Shes my favorite car, yet I got c4 Jean instead of Yelan... I now have c4 Jean, c4 qiqi, c2 diluc and c3 keqing and still no Mona. :(
Cleared abyss smoothly with this comp on floor 12:
Yelan, Xinqui, Xiangling, Bennet
- they benefit and complement alot in the battery department and my Xinqui can even use PJC with no problmem in uptime :) ; Yelan uses favonius
Raiden, Ayaka, Kazuha, Kokomi

@@vqlora6578 , on a whim, but they are very good together in this abyss, Use Raiden when the bosses such as PMA and magu kenki are mobile, and use ayaka burst the moment they are or u know they will be stationery, freeze is not good on second round in this abyss so firepower is only needed :)
Its so satisfying to see ayaka burst then Raiden burst. I sometimes team them up. Hahaha.
@@GamingKryz , same, sometimes when ur experienced enough u know how to get things done or running in ur head, give it a shot, agree, they do well in this abyss because firepower is what is needed and not freeze :)

I replaced Xingqiu with her in some teams and i started to feel a bit the healing of Xingqiu i honestly never care about his healing but when i change him i missed it.
That's what's nice about using both of them in the same team it makes xingquis healing even better with hydro resonance

Ye super fun, Xinqiue with Yelan and Raiden, super strong and fun I'm using zhongli with them to ensure nothing will interrupt them.
What I missed about Xingqui is his damage reduction. It's really noticeable once I swapped him out.

using yelan and xinqiu together is actually super fun. no worries about burst being cooldown, constant hydro application off field which means you can have a dedicated dps like a diluc or raiden, and if need be switch to yelan that also acts as a great sub dps.
i personally use yln, xq, raiden, barbara for all explorations and domains.

Using Eula and Yelan in a team comp makes you feel you're playing a dancing game not a gacha game.

I've watched a few Yelan guides but yours is easily the most comprehensive. Keep up the good work!
I use Yelan's charge shot to farm birds. It hits multiple animals in a small area so you can just shoot them from afar without worrying about startling them. Also, I've been having trouble deciding on her artifact sets so thanks for the help.
Yelan's release solidifies the need for artifact and weapon loadouts with how fluid (no pun intended) her team comps are.
It’s kind of absurd we can’t save and load artifact sets when much smaller companies like Kuro in PGR has added the equivalent. I’ve pretty much given up hope Genshin will ever have QoL improvements added.
Nice to see that I'm on the right track with my Yelan build. Unfortunately, I don't have enough decent Emblem pieces for her, Raiden and Xiangling so my early build uses a Heart of Depth/Nobless combo which does very satisfying damage. I'm just a bit shy on the ER%

I'm looking forward to trying her with Yoimiya... once I also get Yoimiya. That passive %dmg buff looks nice in a Yun Jin comp. I really need another good single target dmg team for certain floors of the Abyss, and it looks like fun in the overworld too.

Yeah I can really see the 3Y core of Yoimiya, Yelan, and Yun Jin being super solid, with the 4th slot being quite flexible. Zhongli seems an obvious choice, but Raiden is pretty interesting. Maybe even C6 Diona?

Constellations I'm extremely interested in are C2 for maybe more consistent Hydro application and C6 because sounds like Yelan will become a main DPS charge attack character with charge attacking coming out as fast as a normal attack
i have her c6 and she absolutely MELTS for those 6 charge attacksa after burst. It takes down 75% of most boss hp. Hu Tao cleans up quick after that volley.

unless i understood or heard wrong, her E skill DOESN'T consume stamina. you actually RECOVER stamina. she can literally be used as a taxi service to get to point A to B in a rapid fashion. i've tested it out myself. if you switch between her regular sprint then switch to her E skill she'll recover about half her stamina guage, then by the time you've used that recovered half her E skill will be ready again. you can continually go back and forth like this to be in a near permanent sprint.

Imo I think yelan is best used with raiden, I use raiden national but replacing xingqiu with yelan and it feels really smooth

I tried mono hydro with kokomi, xinqiu, yelan and kazuha. It was fun to play actually. I recommend you to test it.

I really love her and crowned her elemental skill first and use her as main dps on spiral abyss floor 12 😁 She can easily reach 200k+ vaporize damage for elemental skill, which i really enjoy using a lot. I easily beat magu kenki and mechanical array with her 😍

I'm currently using her as a sub-DPS for my Raiden team together with Xiangling and Bennett. She's a really good battery with Favonius bow equipped while also dealing decent damage! Artifacts aren't perfect yet but it's pretty good. I'm also running ER sands, Hydro goblet, and CDMG circlet on her. The used to be trash artifacts I farmed for Raiden that rolled HP% and HP are all given to Yelan. She's at about 28k HP with decent CR:CD ratio and 250% ER and considering changing my sands to HP instead since I think it's more than enough ER for her.
Fine tuning the artifacts and stats really take a while but I cannot wait to finish it soon.
I just got her with my first 10 pull after getting those free primos but I haven’t done the chasm 😭 thanks for the motivation to quickly do it to raise her! so excited to put her on a team with benny, ayaka, and xiangling

You gotta make the constellation video because Yelan's fast and consistent hydro application is locked behind her c2 and people needs to be aware of this before the banner ends

... because I got lucky with C1 and we're still on day one, so I am considering wishing throughout the rest of her banner in an attempt to get to C2 but I would like to know just how much of a difference that extra attack makes. C1 was a BIG change, both in and out of combat but I don't wanna waste resources if C2 is not that big of a jump.
... I hear she doesn't outclass a C6 Xingqiu, but some people say that her C2 will put her in front. Yet then again, there are others who say that Xingqiu has other additional properties that she lacks.
... I never used Xingqiu myself, not once in the game... even though I specialize in Hydro users and that is because I favored Mona and her Omen. But now that Yelan is here, I wanna know just exactly what I am missing out on and what the true differences are between them.
... and if C2 really DOES put her ahead of him, i'd like to know why and by how much.
... haven't found a video where they touched on this subject in depth yet.
Yeah and Mihoyo's ploy seems to be working, after Raiden with her C2, now Yelan, it seems people will be going for C2 nowadays, good for Mihoyo :)

@@rosienantareto5779 hydro application. As you can see on the video he said that Yelans hydro application is inconsistent unlike xinqui.
Yelan can fill the role of 2 characters in one unit, burst sub dps (xingqiu) and also a strong hydro dps. And the best part is you can combine both of them in one build due to the way her kit works.
My team is a variation of raiden shogun's national team. bennett, venti, yelan, and raiden shogun. Use bennet's skill to infuse pyro on one of the enemies and do a skill burst cancel with venti. Then move to where venti's burst is and use bennett's burst. Do a quick skill and burst swap with yelan then do another skill and burst swap with raiden shogun. Venti's burst needs to be infused with pyro to do a vape-overload combo with yelan and raiden shogun. Raiden shogun also benefits from yelan's 3rd talent which increases dmg up to 50% during the duration of her burst. It only ever failed me during the hydro abyss herald fight and it got me to the 12th floor. I forgot to mention that this team benefits from yelan's 2nd talent which increases her hp up to 30% if your team has a variety of elements. This boosts her burst and skill dmg too.

I currently got 176% ER and I think that's good enough and I'm focusing on crit rate/dmg

ER is overhyped, I’ve never met the recommended ER requirements for my characters but I’ve still been clearing contents easily.
the best build for yelan is 2pc hod+2pc tenacity with er weapons hp sands hydro goblet/crit circlet...as you dont get buff from anything the er scaling falls off.. take a example like xingque where he gets buff from bennet the extra er helps so emblem is better for ult dmg but thats not the case for yelan

Another fun team is Sunfire with Jean, Raiden Shogun, & Bennett.

Do a constellation review. I have her c6r4 and she absolutely melts for the volley of normals immediately following her burst. This is the most fun I've had with a whaled out character in a long while.
I'm def gonna try this build once I get enough resins :'D. I have a bad set for her but kinda proud that it still deals decent damage up to 54k using E. I use Lv16 2Gambler and Lv16 2ToM + Lv60 Stringless atm bc it's just the best one I got, Imagine if I could get a decent 5* artifact.
She literally is the definition of Sub-DPS. Maybe I'll pull for her.
When Barbed shot procs vape its like a mini nuke. Very good pairing with Xiangling and the E skill also does tons of vape damage. Also the free Bow with free r5 is broken. Give it a try :D
I think sharpshooter's oath could have been mentioned among her options it has crit damage and style points. The crit damage is higher than that of blackcliff warbow and the low base atk doesn't matter considering her skill and burst scale with HP.
I’m glad certain 3* weapons are viable, like black tassel for shielder Zhongli, etc. Good to know Yelan can use one too!
Great guide i was wondering since i already got 2 jade spears trying to get her weapon should i continue spending wishes for her now i see that her weapon is worth it ty
Hutao double geo works fine for me, i dont have albedo so i use geo traveler just to activate that party bonus and put zhongli pillars away from enemies so it dont steal ur hydro aura away, doing this allows me to vape every CA hutao does
ill consider the new event weapon sill be the best weapon for her if you consider f2p rather than fav bow coz it gives you er too and gives alot of dmg too form the passive depends on refine... 70 energy cost is not too much tho that weapons er is enough
Somehow I got Yelan on my second single summon on her banner only about 5 mins after logging in for the first time since the update.
🌸😹It certainly is so that she is a monstrous unit and most compelling in manner few could ever be betwixt combat.😹🌸

I never care for multiple Constellations on my event banner 5 stars but I really want the first one so I can use it while running around to make traveling faster
Thank you for the video! My Yelan is C2, Triple Crowned and i have her Bow at R1, she is so awesome and really fun to play^^. The stats are 36.5k HP, 90% crit rate, 180% crit damage and 150% energy recharge and it works swimmingly, i have her ult on cooldown. 2pc HoD and 2pc Tenacity with an HP% Sands. I want to know how much more damage Emblem artifacts give me, but my substats are not that good yet. I currently do around 34k with the E and 8k per ult arrow. Would you say it's good damage or did i build a bit wrong?

I play Yelan with the 3star slingshot bow,2 tenacity and 2 emblem pieces,with all that,she has 190 ER,33k HP,67 crit rate and 179 crit dmg,until i get an entire emblem set i believe that she does really well as she is

My Yelan is currently using 2pc Noblesse 2 pc HoD (ER, Hydro, CrR) with Aqua Simulacra. Is this good stats? I'm planning to farm for 4pc Emblem set coz I'm kind of struggling to maintain her burst uptime when she's with Diluc. I have no ER problem when she's with Raiden.

Don't know how great she is if she's a main dps but for me main dps yelan is really fun and strong especially with a strong sub dps like fischl
@Ahmad Halim yea her NA is kinda low but since i triple crown her already and some artifacts i have has atk% its really not that bad

Ah... I was going to go for Yelan but I’m not sure if any of the bows I have make it worth getting her. I, as an f2p, want to sort of use her with Yanfei or Diluc for vaporise, so obviously she’ll be a sub dps, but what exactly would be the best bow? Yanfei has r2 widsith and Diluc just uses prototype archaic.

Does Yelan's "Adapat with ease" talent carry over even when you swap character? Because I don't see the attack numbers go up whenever I switched to a different character while her burst is still active.

r2 elegy is not even that bad it gives her em so that her vaporize does more dmg

Honestly the sharpshooters oath is a pretty good f2p option since yelan doesn’t even need attack so the extra crit damage you get is very useful
I can say Yelan is so good, especially her E ability which can group enemies close to her, but also the dmg is pretty massive too. Im currently using her with Hutao Rosaria and Zhongli. I tested on new abyss and the team works perfectly well 💪

@@HanniPham_NewJeans her hydro application is inconsistent with only current existing two hutao teams (vv and double geo) but other than those two teams, she's solid. I run her with hutao, yanfei and mona and my hutao vapes every charge even without mona's E.
