I am currently writing my master's thesis the common fisheries policy of EU and I plan to frame it within Ostrom's work. This video is really a helpful introduction. Also, I noticed that wathing lecture-like videos such as yours is more useful for learning something, in comparison to animated videos that are packed with a lot of information, such as Kurzgesagt videos. Slow-paced videos recorded by people feels more humane.
This sounds like the best form of populism which aligns with indigenous governance approaches. For example, the metis hunting party would appoint a master of the hunt. This person was designated to give the command to start the hunt of buffalo. There were heavy penalties for starting on your own as it could scare the animals away in an uncontrolled direction. I believe the penalty was you would lose your saddle. And your winter coat as well in especially egregious cases. Those things were rare and valuable. So the situation is: Everyone is hungry, everyone wants to get meat. But they have to work together as a collective or the chances are higher the meat runs away. So staying hidden until the command to begin is critical.Thank you for this, I look forward to the rest of the series and to uncovering more about assurance games and game of chicken. The applicability for me is that I might become a board member in a housing co-op. It is a commons issue and adverse selection. Cooperation is needed, but personal issues inhibit people's capacity to work together at times. So the defecting state can become the default.

Agradeço muito por esta postagem. Existem outros vídeos que relacionam Ostrom e a teoria dos jogos?
So good! Thanks for diving into these important topics I'm so nerdy about!
It sounds like an awesome series. I'll start reading this book to go along with it.
