- In the hostel I'm staying at in Thamel I met two other vloggers that recently started their channels and we decided to visit one of the historical momument sites that Kathmandu has to offer. It was a short walk from Thamel so I didn't have to spend extra on a taxi. But as I reached there, I found a lot of construction and rebuilding going on around the area.
There was not much to see and I had to pay a 1000 rupee foreigner entrance fee. I ran into many street salesmen as usual and kept up my Nepali speaking practice and got a few nice reactions.

I kinda hate management of Durbar sqaure now. Charged 1000 rupees and no management at all. Those sellers should not force anything on tourist

Actually Entry Fee was free before 2015 earthquake ...For Reconstruction they will charge for some time .... After reconstruction it will be free

Bro hire some tourist guide cus your are showing the same contents clip by clip and still wanna say, "Don't get scammed with Indian shellers in Nepal" cuz they are mean to scam you in anyway. But i have never seen any tourist being encountered like your video. Hope you come Nepal and talk with the local shopkeepers rather than street one!

Kathmandu used to be so beautiful & well managed but it is nothing but a pollution nowadays. lots of scammers, beggars. The true beauty of Nepal is hidden in Himalayas.

no I think he didn't see map. Actually there are tons of things to do there. There is art gallery, old palaces and ig 2 museums, Many temples and other stuff to do there.
