Dude the MegaJaws features a Dual Braking system. It’s not a Pure magnetic system! The main brake is an automatic centrifugal brake and the external magnetic system is to fine tune it.

The new megajaws is the only reel that has the new auto braking system. I am getting one myself. I have a brutus which is very impressive so I am a KASTKING junky for life! Why spend so much for the others if you can get quality for less money?

@@RyanRiggedI got it and spooled it with beyond braid 30 lb and was having overspool problems but it was pretty windy. I have several DC reels that casted perfect right out of the box but not giving up. Tension knob was a little touchy. Guess I'll have to throw different weight's and dial it in.

It’s very quiet when casting which I find nice, the shimano dc ones seem like a gimmick with that weeeeeeeeeee noise

dc isnt a gimmick but i went for tranx because i cant stand weeeeeeee noise for hours
Never say bay bay to shimano abue garcia Lewis and other good reels have the cast king mega jows elite is a wanderers reel loved cast long my personal opinion the est for the money love Arriba cast king for the product 👍

You're paid by Kastking, their reels are trash. Nice design, but bulky and grinding gears. Shimano is the best out there buttery smooth gears and easy palm
Some KastKing reels are cheaply made to get novice anglers to try baitcatsers for next to nothing, but this MegaJaws Elite is top notch.
The MG12 is even better and just as good as your waaay overpriced Shimano’s that aren’t even made in Japan, although you’d likely argue that’s not true. Both Daiwa & Shimano reels are way overpriced and offer little to nothing over other “quality” reels from other brands.
I have some sub $150 Lew’s reels that are just as good as any of my Shimano reels which cost double that. I have a Quantum and a BPS reel that perform flawlessly and they’re also around the same price point.
Furthermore, quality bearings will improve almost any reel for a few bucks, so a reel that performs really well out of the box can be upgraded with quality bearings so it performs excellent. And if you know about gearing, you can polish gears to make them mesh smooth and flawless. I race high end RC Cars since I’m a kid so I’ve been refining gears for almost 40 years so it’s easy least for me. I’d rather buy 2-3 reels for the cost of a single Shimano or Daiwa.
