  • Hello there!
Today we are talking about this interesting vehicle that has been with me for almost 40 years but I have no idea what it is.
Join my as I wade through some of the toys that the TOMY company made, including ZOIDS, R.A.T.S, STARROIRS and TRONICS.
We check out Canadian toy company THINKWAY TOYS and see how they are linked to this vehicle.
Is it a MULTIMAC, from the Hong Kong based company SILVERLIT?
    What is a Rescue Penguin?

Heck yeah, MULTIMAC! These modular toys are such a cool concept, these and MEGAMIX are both just such fun to play with, I have a whole collection of parts from them I like to tinker with every so often. Genuinely recommend people try to grab some of these to toy around with them, though keep in mind they've definitely become a bit more fragile over the years given how old the plastic is, and the way they connect together is posts causing stress on hollow ports, so you could break them if you're not careful.

@@ToaKoran it’s funny, I thought it was some kind of cheap Zoids knock off, I used to get all kinds of weird cheap toys from my Grandparents.
I will definitely be looking out for more of these 😀
      Thanks for watching 😀👍

Some of these came with figures very similar to manta force figures

These were also made by a company called silver tilt

Cool video! I wasn't aware of a couple of these toy lines. I had some Starriors as a kid. They were actually pretty cool. Wind up motors for the chest weapons, you can switch arms and legs and heads. And they were the right size to use with gijoe!

@@AllBreaksLoose thanks. Well now the Starriors sound really cool! I had never heard of them until I made this video but there were quite a few toys we didn’t get in the UK.
      Thanks for watching 😀👍

@@travelswithjasonf1463 yeah it’s a strange one, I’ve had this toy since I was a kid and never knew what it was until now.

Well, there’s something I’ve never seen before. I really like the modular design. Thanks for showing us.

@@AllThings80s it’s something that I’ve had for years and was actually thinking of throwing it out until I saw a short video showing one. As soon as I knew what it was called I could then Google it and found the rest of the range. It’s an outlier for sure but I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for some more.
Thanks for watching and supporting 😀👍

R.A.T.S seem familiar, I'm sure there was an TV ad for them in the UK. I don't remember the other lines though, apart from Zoids. The "Cannon-Tractor" fits in nicely with them!
Did you ever read the 80s Zoids comic? Quite a good series which ended far too soon. All issues can be read on the Zoidstar website for a bit of Zoid related nostalgia.
It's always good to solve a toy mystery. I had a dragon with removable red wings as a kid, and still have no idea what line it was from. I cannot even find a picture of it online. It is a mystery only Columbo himself could solve.

@@stephengray8374 I really don’t recall anything about this range of toys from when I was a kid. I do remember Zoids, I remember reading a comic but never really got into it. If I have time I will check the website out.
Hmmm 🤔 a dragon with removable wings, could be Britains Space, they had a couple of weird dragon things in their range. It is always fun to dive into a mystery 😅
      Thanks for watching Stephen 😀👍

I'd forgotten about Britain's Space toys, I had a few of them as a kid. I just checked some images and definitely had the F20 Force Voyager. I remember running around with that on the Isle of Wight. Really nice toys!
Sadly, the dragon with the red wings wasn't from this line. I thought it might have been from Blackstar, but doesn't appear to have been from that either. The mystery continues!
      Have a good day 👍
