I love this video so much! I do the same thing with my 2 dogs. They just love the EUC. Its funny when they hear the sound of the EUC turn on how fast they are next to me 😅
Been running my 75lb Lab on my V11 & now my AR+ for about 9 months. I absolutely love it & so does he, especially running at full tilt for him (~20mph). The best part is that I can wear him out in about 15 mins, instead of a couple of hours of ball throwing. My one warning is that he caused my worst crash to date by suddenly bumping into me from the side at full tilt. I’m still riding with him and get many comments of what a great idea it is. We both love it!
This time of year it takes an hour to tire out my dogs. Later in summer my Siberian Husky doesn't much wanna run in the heat.
I ride a board with my dog. I found having a long leach gives me more time to stop and allows them to run with more room.
@@wolfkoolaid722 love it! Unfortunately where I’m at; people, cars, & animals pop up all over, so I have to keep him close. Since our little dust up, I make him keep his nose behind me in a heel no matter the speed. So far so good. Now I want to go on a group ride with dogs in tow. Might be a disaster though.
@@woodpeckerarborist Yeah, I would keep dogs out of the group rides. That could be a disaster. Your dogs probably like it more with just you. More pee breaks. 🦮💦
This is what I did with my dog and he LOVED it! It allows me to go at his speed for as long as he does. It's a lot of fun for the both of us!
I ride my V8s WITH my horse. She is a Gypsy Vanner paint. The paths through the fields are hard packed enough to ride my little EUC at speed, and she gallops around me, sometimes keeping pace. Taking a four-footed friend with you on a ride is always a treat.
It’s all fun and games until you cross paths with a bunny rabbit. 😂🤣😂

Brilliant! That's what I want to do! Just got a MCM5 as my first EUC. Still learning how to ride it but hopefully I can improve my skill and be this comfy riding it. For a while I walked my dog with my bicycle and then an E-scooter but they're a bit too chunky, now that I have 3 dogs. Need something small and nimble.

EUC's are simply designed with dogs speed in mind! Dogs of EUC riders are happier - fact! :-) I ride 5-6km with my german shepherd every morning.
I previously thought that running with my dog on ks16x was also a good idea when he suddenly cross my way hitting EUC which end up crashing at 40km/h ;).
He (probably) won’t do that again 😅

I find this a fantastic way to burn through my doggo’s energy if I don’t have a long time for a walk. I like to mix it up with normal walks though because they’re better for letting him stop and sniff everything.

When I do this with my dog he does trot like running up to 20 km/h. When we go faster, he changes pace to gallop like running. It's very funny to see him trotting that fast.
I’ve been doing this for a couple years and I noticed how much not just my dog but all dogs love walking with an euc.

I have yet to enter the euc world so I was hoping this was a thing you could do. I have a 85lbs chocolate lab and he loves to run and so I take him for skateboard rides while going for dog walk often. With a little bit of training, it's not too bad and I try and do most of the work so that he's not pulling me constantly. But I do plan on getting a euc so that our longer walks are more enjoyable for both of us, so thank you for this video and showing that this is possible. Great video, exactly what I was looking for.
Most dogs want to stop every 5 feet.

i just went out and tried this with my dog for the 1st time. we will be doing this more often for sure. good idea me thinks. there is of course a lot of room for nonsense but worth it in the end
Definitely possible, I used to take mine out all the time for miles and miles, unfortunately I can't anymore as much because they are too old now to keep up over a couple of miles

My whippet also loves the KS14D!. I walk and run mine without the leash. I got into this hobby because whippets love to run and chase. I was starting to get plantar fasciitis before decided on this hobby to keep up with my dog. I am ordering an MCM5 v2 after almost a year so that trail and hilly rides will be much easier for the wheel. The 14D seems to struggle on trails and inclines but a very capable wheel. I was thinking on purchasing a faster wheel but I thought it would be useless and inhumane to leave my whippet in the dust. Really happy that I got into this hobby.

We go on 2 hour runs on trails and parks off leash. Boy oh boy whippets really love it! Highly recommended on KS14D. I will be trying on an MCM5 v2 very soon.
My first dog loooved cycling, my current one likes to stop to smell the proverbial flowers a lot more so an EUC might be more up her valley. I was thinking about a scooter but needing realistically both hands for the handlebar seems like a big safety issue to me. Nice vid.

I've been walking my Greyhound for almost a year in the same wheel and he loves to run. Just make shure to communicate in the turns to prevent injuries and watch out other dogs.

I've been walking my dog without a leash on the EUC for 6 months now. First I was walking her on a leash, and it sucked. I ride KS-18L, and it works just fine. My dog weighs 12 kg.
Must be a happy dog, not limited by the slow numans and can go full throttle 😂

Gotta say that's an awesome idea. I'd do the same if I didn't have an issue with shooting wildlife in the face 🤓. It'd be kangaroos here 🦘. EUCs would be great for soldiers though. Imagine carrying a minigun on an EUC. You'd be like a super powered game character. Just don't fall imagine the mess you'd leave rolling around the gravel with a minigun 😂
@@arcrides6841 absolutely my dude. If my freezer is full I still use my EUC to zip out to remote areas for some peace and quiet and just watch the wildlife 😍❤️ 🦘 🐐. Only take what you need.

I've walked 4 cats before with my wheel no leash
By walking my dog on EUC I discovered that comfortable speed for lazy walk for the dog is about 8 km/h, comfortable long run is about 10km/h and good physical exercise is 14km/h. Could you imagine what a pain for dogs is walking with humans? It is like walking your grandmother, good and right thing to do, sometimes, but the whole your life? And there are no other options?

My friend got a cvergpincher. Ones we tried to check his cutoff speed and it was like 37kmh. But I'm not sure was the dog fully charged or not
I use the retractable leash so it will take up the slack automatically.

I also walk my dog using my EUC and she absolutely loves it. However, please don't walk your dog in front of you or with a harness using a EUC, as this can cause serious accidents (imagine dogs chasing cats or squirrels or stopping abruptly) as seen in comments below. Not everyone is an expert riding an EUC. The harness incentivizes the dog to pull. During a proper walk, dogs must do it beside or behind the owner and using a collar. You have researched every bit of information regarding EUCs and I absolutely trust and admire you in that regard. Please research the proper way to walk a dog (just search the internet) before presenting this Wrong Way! to other people. For the watcher's sake and especially the dogs.
Cute and insightful. But, hypothetical question: if you're a small man, 70kg, walking a beast of a dog, 50kg, wouldn't some of this get out of hand?
Who's a good boy? ... how nice it would be if we could just stop and pee on trees and poles with a big smile on our face... instead of having to find a rest room or thick bush to go haha Yes, have to be very careful of the leash (or the dog) not to get caught in the wheel or the dog going one side of a pole or tree and you the other. Try with a stretchy leash and some sort of stiffener, like the leash through a half meter of some sort of tube so you can keep tension on the leash a bit, but it can stretch... like bungee cord rubber (2 meters will stretch to over 3m)? He looked very happy until he got tired... then he wanted you to carry him. He is not silly haha
HI, have you ever reviewed a product called UrmO? made by ex-tesla and ex-bmw engineers its a sort of light hoverboard with skinny 14" tires that folds up- the last update I saw on kickstarter is August 2020. Since I'm pretty slow at learning the EUC but I am already very comfortable and skilled at hoverboard I am very interested in the UrmO- it was extremely expensive ( like 1900$ ) but I am thinking that it might actually be worth the money for me .... Even though I find my EUC exciting to learn, after 3 months I still find it a bit treacherous and I'm not good enough at controling it to feel comfortable in public on it..
Don’t know what an Urmo is, but I think it’s what ever you get used to. I got on a hoverboard for the first time recently and it seemed super sketch. I love my EUC’s. Keep riding Liz ! And join us on the forum !
I'm super bad with tech, and I don't use my cell phone with my wheel at all. Rode my v5f around the block!!!! Very satisfying, but I am much more adept at hoverboard on which I like to shoot baskets on the half court outside, still can't imagine being good enough on EUC to do that. Time will tell. maybe I'll try just bouncing the ball today, temps on the mid 50's here!!! Thanks for the comment, I found that hover-1 makes a fold up hoverboard called Rogue looks similar to the UrmO but much smaller wheels.

I walk my dog on esk8 regularly and found the best leash setup is a retractable leash cut down to about 10 feet max and clipped to my belt and let her set the pace. Have and S18 and have been thinking a smaller wheel is needed. Maybe MCM5?

This is great, but you missed an important point. You should never be in front of the dog, leading or pulling it on the leash. It's bad dog walking manners, and just looks terrible too - you can tell the dog and human don't have a good relationship, when the dog is being pulled by the human. And it's dangerous for EUC, since the dog can suddenly stop.
