Thank you Beth! Love the dresses and how versatile they are. I love to restyle these pieces and it's fun to have clothes that can easily blend into my collection. I hope you liked how I styled them as well. Your skill in doll clothing is timeless and this is fun to watch 🎉❤🎉
It was such a delight to work with you and get to know you better. Thank you so much for all your support, I'm so happy to know how much you appreciate my videos!
Poppy Parker dolls are so beautiful they definitely deserve couture rather than off the rack and you did her proud. Both outfits are stunning and really fit the style of the doll. For me these dolls evoke 50s/60s glamour and you stayed true to that with what you made for her. Also congrats on your new doll and doll head - looking forward to seeing what you create for them.
Beth, your talent as a designer and seamstress continue to amaze me. Not to be forgotten, your sketching is beautiful. I admire the way you can upcycle fabrics, as that is the way I prefer to sew as I can find so many more possibilities within premade garments, some vintage. Both dresses are gorgeous but my favorite is the shorter dark grey, love the added brooch and the way you have applied it to the dress. Simply elegant. I do love the Poppy Parker dolls, it was so lovely of Brayn to gift you with one. thanks for sharing - Laurie
You're so kind, thank you very much!! I agree, I have collected quite a few thrifted/vintage fabrics that I think should be re-used and appreciated again ^_^ That one's my favourite too, I might make one for my new doll too! Thanks so much for your support Laurie
Adoro le Poppy Parker, non ne posseggo. Il tuo lavoro è come sempre fantastico, abiti molto chic e raffinati adatti a queste ragazze. Complimenti! Ciao dall' Italia.💖💖💖👍👍👍
beautiful, just beautiful. You are so talented and generous in how you share your methods and designs. I just bought my first ever vintage Barbie, and this is so inspiring as I haven't a thing for her to wear. I do sew and knit for other dolls, but this is my first venture into the glamour world of dolls. Thank you for giving me a place to start!
Oh how lovely! Vintage Barbies are fantastic ^_^ There are lots of free patterns out there to get you going, don't be afraid to test them in a simple fabric first and make changes to fit your own girl. I'm sure you'll have a beautiful wardrobe for her in no time
What a wonderful gift these dolls are fabulous. Beth you did an amazing job with both dresses. I love them both. The pin on the shawl was a perfect touch. Thank you soo much for sharing ❤!
Ohh these dolls are stunning! I am lucky enough to have 1 in my collection. The doll and head that you were gifted are stunning! The dresses you made are every bit as good as Dior, love them 🥰🥰🥰
I am half way through my vacation in Florida. So I am just now watching this. I love watching you make beautiful doll clothes. I don't have Poppy either. I like Tonner and Mme Alexander dolls. I have a couple of articulated 24 inch Alexanders.l Your designs are beautiful. Stay well and safe.
How fantastic! Your dresses are wonderful and I will definitely copy the magnetic broach idea, genius (knew there was a reason to hang on to broken jewellery 😄). The doll you get to keep is stunning. I wonder what you'll make for her? I have a model muse Barbie who I'm planning a Dior type of design for but one day I'll get an integrity style doll. Have fun 🤗❤️🥰❤️
Hi Beth! I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I really enjoyed watching your video. You did an amazing job designing those dresses! Even though they were simple, you were able to capture their elegance perfectly. Have you ever heard of Nigel Chia? He's a doll customizer from Malaysia who uses haute couture in his works. Your designs reminded me of his creations. Keep up the great work!
These are beautiful!!! ❤❤ Could you make a video on how you measure your doll for patterns? I have a Poppy and would love some tips on how you make your patterns fit so well. You are amazing!! He's going to love them!!!
Thanks so much! Yes I like to try to show the thinking process when I draft new patterns - is there a particular part of the measuring/drafting that you struggle with that you'd like clarified in a video? ^_^
@@BethRamsden well mostly I have trouble with making the bodice sit right on the torso. Especially over the breast. I've made so many but it seems my darts are always a little off. I've tried the tape method but when I make the pattern from it somehow it's still off. Is there a step I'm missing?
@@sarahlongshore2605 I see! Well I do actually have a video already that covers that quite extensively - th-cam.com/video/UupqQ-wwI-s/w-d-xo.html - I made lots of tweaks to the pattern and showed the effect of each change as I went. See if that helps you, and otherwise I'd just say that getting a perfect fit means being really really accurate with your stitches, make sure they're very small and try using an erasable marker to draw out all your seam lines and darts to follow too. You can hand stitch the darts if they're not coming out right on the machine. I hope that helps! 🤞😊🪡🧵
@@BethRamsden ok. Thank you. I'm guessing I don't remember it. I've watched all your videos. I will go back and look at it. I do enjoy all of your videos. I do all of my sewing by hand. I'm afraid I got sick a few years ago and couldn't walk or use my hands for two years so I probably watched it and forgot. Thank you so much. It was videos like yours that kept me going!!!
Yes, I loved that Dior collection as well.
It's so good! ^_^

These dresses are stunning. Your work is amazing - especially knowing how hard it is to sew these slippery fabrics!
Thank you so much! I usually kid of avoid them, but I feel they suit these fashion dolls so well ^_^
C'est sublime Beth, vous les avez merveilleusement bien habillé, quel talent, un grand bravo !💐🤩💐😍

She’s a Mizi doll (the one you’re keeping, Anna may head sculpt) from JHD, not sure which Mizi/anna may!
Thank you so much! ^_^
Oh I love your work! Those dresses are beautiful? Will the patterns be available to buy? I was so excited to see a video for a Poppy doll!
Thank you so much! I'm not certain yet, I wasn't sure if there would be much demand for them? Poppy Parker is very new to me ^_^

The doll head with the beauty stone body is Anna Mae by JHD toys. She is the 2023 Anniversary doll if I'm not mistaken. 😊
Aha! Thank you so much again Brayn!

Absolutely fantastic Poppy Parker is one of my grail dolls and I am lucky enough to own one.. Are you going to be selling any Poppy Parker clothes?
Oh how wonderful! No I won't be making clothes to sell for Poppy, but I do plan to digitise this pattern since a few people requested it ^_^
