I threw a Potter party when my daughter turned 9. I made wands, bookmarks, train tickets, mini spell books, stickers, mini cauldrons (from plastic bottles and metal hangers) for favors. I had stuffed owls, frogs and cats they could adopt from the Magical Menagerie. They also could fill odd plastic bottles with colored sand to take home. There was a candy table with lots of different ones including chocolate frogs with cards and boxes I made. I printed so many things to hang up for decorations. I made cauldron cakes and purchased a larger cake, made butter beer. It was fun!

During pandemic (Christmas 2020), I actually came up with my own Yule Ball party, to celebrate Christmas with my girlfriend. It was just the 2 of us, but we had a lot of stuff as decoration and food, and some "treasure hunt" with clues and following HP storyline, to end up opening the presents. It was so fun, I miss throwing a party, to be honest! I will ask my girlfriend for the photos, so I can share with you some ideas. And your video made me daydream about what to include next...wouldn't be awesome to throw these parties for a living? I did a Harry Potter party for Halloween last year. This video brought back so many fun memories. I have the hanging Platform 9 ¾ brick banner so my guests walked through it as they entered with the theme song playing in the background. I ordered it from Amazon. They loved it! I used various sized glass jars for the butter beer. I had a trolley cart filled with all kinds of goodies and I had the quote on it in the Harry Potter font, "Anything off the trolley dears?" 😊 I let them choose the goodies they wanted. I used green glowsticks beneath chocolate balls in foil wrappers and labeled it Dragon Eggs. I also used the glowsticks beneath the gold coins and I had a troll poster by it and labeled the area Gringotts Bank. 😂 I had so much fun. I had glow in the dark spiders on the wall with a picture of Hagrid. I put a picture of Moaning Myrtle on the mirror in the restroom. 💜 /*
being an Adult Harry Potter fan isn't easy when you really want that Harry Potter themed birthday party - the closest I could do was a cake with the Hogwarts Crest on the top.
