I too thought it was a foul and actually curtailed any celebration thinking it would be pulled back or that VAR would intervene again. The more I've seen it, I understand why it wasn't given. But equally if it had, I'd have just shrugged my shoulders and moved on. I honestly wonder if the VAR people decided against getting involved for fear of inciting a riot (the disallowed Wood goal was crazy and makes a mockery of what football is about and what VAR is supposed to achieve). Can you imagine the reaction if that one had been ruled off also? Not saying that thought process is correct, but I do wonder if these things play a part or not.
