I just took mine apart and stretched the spings about half way longer then they were and added some vasaleen to the tubes reassmbled and this thing is beastly. Thanks for the video so I knew what I had to work with.
I did a review on this a couple of years ago and am still using it even up until a couple of days ago most recently. Hadn't modified mine yet, but those look like the springs could be swapped out for some aftermarket higher resistance ones. Namely, looks like 7 or 8kg rated Nerf Retaliator springs would do the job, such as some from Worker or Orange Mod Works, or the nice ones from Turf Blaster springs. I'll have to open mine up and verify the size before being 100% sure, but it looks like those would do the trick.
If you do figure it out, please share what you find .. I'm interested in augmenting mine .. I'd prefer being able to upgrade the springs and possibly have the spacer method as an option later if more is wanted.
The question of the day is did you feel as a ¼" was sufficient and even if so, how do you think ½" would operate. Obviously, I want to get the most bang for my buck without breaking it...
Or, even 3/8th of an inch. How far can we push it? I think the peopel making "Bug - _-Salt" charge way too much for their fly swat weapon, this devices seems more afforbale evne if it doe shave to be taken apart and modified.
I just did 3/4 of an inch and the gun will not function now. Will make adjustments and let everyone know what works. I'm also just using electrical tap wrapped around a bunch of time for my spacer
I hate to sound like a jerk, but I got nothing from this video that tels me if it worked at al or how much it improved the performance. A stiffer spring would help any of these guns, but a 1/4" spacer might do nothing noticable IMHO. And the music kinda sucked.
For a while that works, then the spring gets even weaker in a short time. The spring's tension gets ruined by stretching, but it'll work for awhile until used a bunch.

Sir, any update would be appreciated!
Couldn’t you just put both springs together into one tube and just make it a powerful single shot instead?
how does the salt feeder work?

I can feel the difference for sure 1/2 would be more power as long as the springs don’t bottom out before engaging the trigger mechanism
Show it in action
What did you take out at 2:04
As for the safety you can probably just super glue it in the off position
Yeah you could remove it as well or shave it down so it doesn’t catch
Another qol upgrade would have been removing the safety.
What did u use as spacers
I used some scrape piece of vinyl flooring I had laying around
Where do you get the Spacers?
I made them out of scrap vinyl plank

Yeah I figured 3/4 would be too much but now we know for sure!
3/8" is also to much
Ended up going to 1/4" and it works.
Not enough room for full compression... Looking like higher rate springs are the way to go in that case.
@@MongooseJakeNerf Hello we're you able to find stronger springs?

The same thing can be accomplish by stretching out the springs.

@@MongooseJakeNerf after you stretch heat it up red hot and then cool in water
