It is really simple to do but I sure wish LG had thought it through because it is an aggravation to have to pull the microwave out and unplug it then plug it back in and then move it back when all done. We have a great deal of random electrical outages with our power company and having to do this every time makes me want to buy a new microwave that is clock friendly!
Thank you for the expanation. Before finding your instructions, I discovered something by accident. I didn't have to unplug mine. If you press and hold the timer on the inside for 3 seconds, the 12 appeared (or 24 if you press +). I followed your instructions after that, to set hour and minutes.
Unplug, wait a second or two, plug in, press and hold "Clear". 0 (zero) should appear in place of the time. Also: turn the sounds (beeps and music) off by pressing "Sensor Cook" and "Clear" at the same time and holding for three seconds. Turn the sounds back on by repeating this sequence.
@@vudi2024 Thank you for tip on turning off the beeps, was not in the manual. I wish there was a way to just turn off the melody only though. I don't know why a 0 (zero) shows when you disable the clock, but I'm glad after a few minutes of inactivity, the display does turns off.
thanks for the explanation although very long winded. in short, power off, power back on, set 12/24 hour clock using +/-, enter, set hours, enter. set minutes, enter, done !

I have this microwave and it's a great microwave. But what a dumb AF idea having to unplug every time the clock needs to be reset, especially when it's built in and up high.
Such a stupid bloody feature this day n’ age with such a brand (LG) where you have to unplug the damn microwave just to change the clock (i.e. for daylight saving times)!

Correct. That's silly the video suggests to unplug the microwave every time. It's in the manual how to adjust the time after the fact.

You don’t need to unplug microwave to change time. Just open the door and hold the timer *clock button for 3 seconds.
There are no timer/clock button on this model and that’s the problem. So, have to unplug 😩
