Her voice was and is so beautiful, her technique is impeccable, she is still singing amazing in her 40's. You don't sing this way for 30+ years with a bad technique. Regine should have crossed over to the U.S in 1991. with the right producers and record label push, she could have and should have been huge, she should have recorded her version of this song here. Its so different from Whitney's. Its not Barbra, Mariah or even Celine style, its totally Regine. A bit of Broadway theatrics and diction, with the vocal acrobatics that competes with the league of American vocalist divas 'Trinity' Regine would have been the 4th of the diva group. Whitney, Mariah and Celine are considered the most influential vocalists of all time. Regine is truly in the same league. you have to have a good singing technique yourself to recognize the quality in her voice. especially these early years

grabe at 5:00 thats a very high note already but i dont see any strain on her neck....she really has a good technique and make used of her diaphragm.....most people think she is using her chest to hit high notes but thats not true...she gets air from her diaphragm and stores a lot of air there to withstand the intensity of her high note and vibrato. The most technical singer ive ever known. Very technical, skilled and also have the best voice . :)
