Whilst I tolerate the "new" Marillion and don't get me wrong they've done some good stuff (including a track on my wedding video!), but this line up will always be Marillion for me....
Despite what happened all those years ago with Fish leaving the band the way he did, and all the negative press, they still clearly have that special bond that made them superstars and still have that respect for one another. Brilliant.
Saw them warm up for Rush in the early 80’s at Radio City music Hall, I had never heard of them until that day. Have been a huge fan of the Fish era ever since.
THIS is what I wanted to see for years. Quality footage, in its entirety. Henk Tempelman, I praise your name. A billion "thank you"s will never be enough. Cheers from France!!

i was there, me and my partner were at a loose end and decided to drive from Lancashire to Aylesbury to see Fish doing a free gig, couldn't believe our luck that a mini reunion took place, did see Mr Mosley wandering around pre gig which did create a spark of optimism, can't believe it was 16 years ago :-0 Never got to see Marillion with Fish prior to this as only got into the band in '88 post split
awesome, imagine the heights they could have achieved if only Fish had stayed the course, i love the music Marillion made with FISH but were never the same when he left, i had the chance to see them at their peak so i take that has a blessing.
Thank you so much Henk. I've seen footage of this performance before but nothing close to what you got here. This is history, thanks again for sharing!
Blimey I have just found this. Didnt even know they got back for this. This is the true lineup and the best. So good to see them.back together one more time. Thanks for filming and posting just a shame it took me so long to happen across it
Gran video . Igual muy generoso H , dejarle cumplir ese sueño a Fish . Y después del subidón , una cervecitas con amigos. Epicidad a la máxima potencia ...
Near the end of the Clutching At Straws tour (still their best album to me), when they played in San Francisco, they were somehow convinced by a local dj (Greg Stone for anyone who cares) to do a show at a little nightclub in San Jose he co-managed, The Cabaret. They came down with a bare bones stage set up and did a show that was amazing. When they played "Torch Song," Fish picked up a drink and wandered around through the audience. And when he sang, "A hand held over a candle," he grabbed a candle off a table and held his hand over it. You didn't get that at other shows. We had no idea they were about to come apart at the seams, but it was inevitable. Actually, I thought Marillion got better with Hogarth, and Fish got better solo, and on that album you could hear them already pulling in different directions, so it was meant to be.
I loved this band back in the day. The Hammersmith gigs, Milton Keynes etc. Misplaced was hardly ever out of my cassette player at the time. They revived Prog Rock almost singlehandedly at the time. I kind of lost interest after the Season's End album.
Me too, however, thought their album in 2016 (FEAR) was pretty decent and worth a listen. I wasn't old enough to go to gigs back in the 80s, but my older brother went to see them at Hammersmith in the 80s I recall. Misplaced is an epic album. I will say that I love the song Easter, but aside from that all my favs would be from the Fish era.
There is no Marillion without Fish. For me, in most of the cases the singer makes what the band is. They should have looked out for another name when he leaved because it wasnt the same anymore afterwards. The first 4 albums were masterpieces and my older brother loved this band. He brought marillion to me.
Marillion are fantastic AND always will be one of my top bands. The guys were never up their own arses like some I could mention. Very humble. I met Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley at an album launch party for 'Marbles'. They were lovely. What's with Fish? Turning his back on the crowd while singing is just the height of ignorance.
Went to a concert once just to see Marillion open. When the main act came on, we sat through a few numbers, looked at each other, and left. I remember exactly who the main act was, but I don't want to say.
Saw them in 85/86 open for Rush in the midwest. I specifically went for Marillion but unfortunately the rest of the crowd wasn't having it and was jeering and booing thru their entire set. They were fantastic just not a good audience.
Pete is the toughest of all and I think he was the one who had the biggest disagreement with Fish before they separated, it definitely leaves its mark!!!
He did walk up as if realising he hadn’t but then he had his bass on. I wouldn’t read too much into it, it looks like one of those in the moment omissions.
Awesome footage at the end.... oh if only their manager wasn't such a "d1k" and a rip-off merchant... oh what could have been. Btw - Fish is just one amazing person, he's so down to earth... no pretensions.
Whilst I tolerate the "new" Marillion and don't get me wrong they've done some good stuff (including a track on my wedding video!), but this line up will always be Marillion for me....
This footage should be preserved in the National Library of Congress
I needed to see this. This lineup is Marillion for me. Still listen to their first four albums to this day.
And they just walk off into the pub! This is classic, why haven't I seen this before now?
The smiles says it all...... and what an awesome track too....
Quelle émotion de les revoir ensemble! My favorite band since 40 years!! thx!
Beautiful piece of music history ! This day is remarkable and unforgettable for Marillion fans ....

outstanding show , but
Loved simply watching them walk to the pub afterwards 😂
Many many thanks for posting.
If there is Fish... Well, we got Marillion!
We march!!!
That video from 2007 is better than most of the concert videos today lol, thats brilliant seeing fish on stage with the band
Wow so glad I saw this. Thanks for a great slice of life with the best setup of Marillion. The best band in the world.
Brilliant!!! The best part of the Clip is how everyone went to the Pub....cheers

Always amazes me how far Fish got without being able to sing.
Fish and others entertained the troops in theatre, what an amazing night, thank you Fish, big thanks to the backing dancers also.
Some beautiful energy in this performance! Bravo!!
merci Fish and Marillion !!!
Wow, I didn't know this footage existed before 10-29-2022 !
Good to see the Marls in the old setting!
Perfectly quality of video and sound!!! And Marillion original in 2007 !!! Amazing!!

Memories come flooding back.
I remember when it happened. I was 5 miles away and didn't know it -- saw it on BBC!
Heard about this years ago. Never saw it until now. Nice to see they all grew up and stayed a chairde. Great footage
Awesome, pure magic. Thanks!
Maravilhoso!!! Saudações do Brasil!
Wonderful, greetings from a brazilian fan.
Oh wow, that is fantastic. Just the footage I wanted to see.

Me too. Weird to be surprised for something that already happened 13 years ago!
Nice to see Steve playing a Les Paul. Always great, whatever the guitar though.

Questi sono stati miei Marillion dal 1982. Questi sono i miei Marillion nel 2022. Con tutto il rispetto per quelli dopo.
I didn't realize that Fish is such a behemoth.
It case you didn't know. Derek got the nickname Fish, because his landlandy would only let him bath once a week. So he made a real night of it.
Fish the man😎
nothing better
Looks like the pub at the end did well that day. Everyone followed the band!

They hugged afterwards. Pete was gonna come up on stage with his bass to start the song.
Ow, what it was this occasion???

I can't help myself, but I hear a little reminiscence to "The revealing science of god" from YES at 3'35. 🤫🤔🤗
Is the entire gig out there in this quality???
This was a Fish concert in Aylesbury. Marillion showed up only for the encore, although I later learned it was an open secret...
Vee ist das döytche wört fir mittelschmärz ^ ^
My lifetime favorite band. I was shocked when Fish left the band. Marillion without Fish, there is no magic!!!
Nah, Marbles, Fear, Sounds and many others are fantastic.
Stephen J Yes but none of those are as good as Misplaced or Clutching
@@synen I disagree a lot with that. Afraid of Sunlight is one of the band's best albums and is as good as any album of Fish era
Disagree, there is plenty of magic if you you want to take your blinkers of and look for it.
Took me longer to get into the Hogarth era stuff than Fish, but I'd put Brave and FEAR up there with Misplaced and Clutching at Straws.
watch and learn Hogarth.

the 80s were crap until these chaps turned up
Not to disrespect Rothery... But a little reunion tour with Fish in theatres and maybe two or three festivals would be cool...
Yeah, Steve can play all his parts on bass
What's the point if there's the SRB? Fish can't sing anymore anyway.
Well, chose an aporopriate setlist... Or take both singers.
would be disrespectful to the new singer whatever his name is
