he grew up in a city and attended multi racial schools and of Couse south africa consume a lot of American products and culture , some of south african cities are very urbanized
Enjoyed Ur Reaction & basically U can check-out any Nasty C Music-Vid he doesn't disappoint he's been doing this for a long-time & Everyone whose done a Reaction-Vid to Nasty C will tell U the same thing he never misses.... As for his accent SA has 11-Official Languages (were not called the Rainbow-Nation for nothing), so basically a melting-pot of different cultures coming together in one Country & so there are a multitude of different Accents & also the Part of SA Ur from influences the Accent as well.... No doubt, Nasty C has been some-what influenced by American-Music/Hip-hop but who hasn't as American-Music has been Global for the longest-time even Tyla admits that she too was influenced by American-Music but found success by fusing her American & African-influences/elements in her Music but this why their Music may sound American in a way it just gives them more Global-Appeal..... For instance, when Tyla speaks she sounds like an well-educated Durban-Coloured in SA but when she sings her Vocals are more Globally-accessible; whereas Nasty C when he speaks in English he has a more well-educated neutral-sounding English-Accent & feel the same-thing can be said when he Raps!!!!!
I was thinking of artists like Tyla, Costa Titch (may he rest in peace) and Focalistic when I thought about the ”accent”. I guess you mean that there is an accent but it is not called ”south african” due to the fact you guys have 11 different languages in South Africa? I would love to know more, cause I definitely am missing out on some interesting info! Either way, thanks for watching the video, much appreciated 🙏
You're welcome sir the way Nasty C raps is the same way he talks that's the way he sounds he never lived in USA he has strictly South-African heritage in him he has influence because he used to listen to lil wayne,TI and them so the inspiration comes from there and he raps from 9 years old
@@AlfredVogt-w4l Well, Nasty C definitely gots the potential! Wishing all the best for the guy 💯 Thanks for watching, and thanks for the information! 🙏
Which one is the South African accent? We have 11 official languages and English is one of our official language. Yu’all need to stop saying “South African accent”
I guess you mean that there is an accent but it is not called ”south african” due to the fact you guys have 11 different languages in South Africa? 🤔 For me, as I said in the video, Nasty C sounded american while when I listen to a South African artist like Tyla talk, it sounds different and I always thought that that was the accent most South Africans have. I would love your insight/explanation on this. I look forward to your response! 💯 Either way, thanks a lot for watching!🙏
@@Vinny_P I think you guys have missunderstod me a little haha When I say "he sounds american", I am saying he sounds like an american person when he speaks english. I know that people speak english in South Africa. I am talking about his accent being american. Most likely cause he has been influenced by american culture (movies, artists etc) since yearly age. Something that @user-rx8ui2nb3e pointed out in the comment section of this video :D So yeah, I knew it was atleast 2 different languages, one of them being english. Did not know there was 11 languages, which is cool to learn about. With all that said though, thanks for watching my video, much appreciated🙏
The thing is our artists sound American in their songs but when they speak they have a south African accent. It can be confusing when you listen to their music and then watch them in an interviews. Same as Tyla.
@@KhotsoMabidikama-nk8itI am South African too booo yehheni … the guy reacting is talking about accent , I’m saying the same thing ! Like why would they think we have a certain accent la e mzansi n only they can speak proper English !
