@rolodwayne5841 sorry but you're doing that to yourself, back in these days every week was a heart attack because it always mattered. I remember watching this game. Thought the Panthers would win this going away, thanks to DeAngelo Williams’ performance. Then the Giants had a big fourth quarter to tie the game, but the Panthers still had a chance to win it in regulation. But when John Kasay’s field goal fell short, I should have known that the Panthers would not come out on top. Sure enough, in overtime, the Giants got the ball and marched down the field for the winning score, leaving me disappointed and in tears.
I remembered this game so well when two rushing attacks face each other. Brandon Jacobs carried the ball 24 times for 87 yards and 3 touchdowns, so his longest run was a 16-yard touchdown. As far as the other back, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams carried the ball 24 times for 108 yards and 4 touchdowns, so his longest run was a 30-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. We watched both running backs have standout performances. The Giants didn’t live up to their #1 seed when they lost to the Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs. It was a disappointing end to a promising season for the Giants.
Wasn’t this the year Plaxico shot himself? I believe the majority of those wins for the Giants came when he was in the lineup. Once he went down, there goes the Super Bowl
@@kman215The 2008 season was weird in general. An 8-8 San Diego Chargers team wins their division, while an 11-5 New England Patriots misses out. Peyton Manning wins another league MVP Trophy despite passing for 4002 yards, 27 TDS, and 12 INT. In reality, the league MVP should have gone to James Harrison (who led the AFC in Sacks) or DeAngelo Williams (who led the NFL in total touchdowns). Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers led the NFL in passing touchdowns with 34, yet their teams went 8-8, with the former leading his team to a division title and a playoff win.
