Thanks for watching guys! Let me know your thoughts down below, because I’m sure there are hundreds of possible ways to combat this. I just don’t see any other way to combat it other than pulling from stores altogether (unless they’re small TCG stores with strict policies). If Walmart and target could properly enforce rules and ban people due to poor behaviour then I would be all for that, but let’s face it, that would require far too much manpower and money and wouldn’t be worth their time.
There's a way look at my comment below the system should be implemented online especially it will stop software bots entirely and people going store to store to store
Imagine your criticism of the people in the video being about their weight and the clothes they wear. Great contribution to the conversation as always Jebel!
@@PokeJebel I'll use your exact argument and say I've never seen a wild animal inside of a target clearing the shelves of pokemon cards. Just like how you said not to compare them to children because you've never seen children clear shelves. yawn.
That video made me laugh, it's exactly how things were/are at any point in time. People will still always find cards regardless if the stores completely stop. I haven't been able to find cards even before this mess started, either way I'm making do as best as I can.
I witnessed my first argument yesterday. A vendor hid some Kanto Power boxes and a grown 40 year old man started yelling and cussing at him. The white man child took the boxes from the Walmart employee and purchased them while still cussing out the vendor. He also mentioned that he better leave or he would beat his ass. I see it all as fair especially since majority of the people act like the video shown in your video.
The only massive problem with doing things online is accessibility issues. Not everyone is gonna wanna buy into a monthly membership. I know I wouldn’t be interested just as I want sealed product but I don’t purchase it enough some months compared to buying singles for it to be worth it for me. Especially as some months having less product releasing or product that’s not so interesting. Also it would be hard for kids to convince parents to spend money on products there unsure of without being able to hold it physically. That’s why having Pokémon cards at big box stores is so unique cause when your parents forced you to come you had that opportunity to find whatever was at the store. It’s just not the same in the mail waiting for it maybe to arrive damaged or lost which mail is known for doing. Just a different opinion but definitely as time goes on better solutions will come! Thank you for the great content as always!
The blue packs in his cart are cello packs of nba hoops 2019-20 premium stock…tbh scalpers don’t even go for Pokémon anymore unless it’s hidden fates or tins
I know many people that do this with any popular tcg that is out. Whether it be Pokémon or other sports. It is really sad because many times they will clear the shelf if given the chance. And they do it for money. They just want to make a quick buck. It’s really tough out there for the many Walmart’s that don’t have limits on their cards. Even then, I know a few who come with other people. So they’ll camp out for 12+ hours with their family/friends and take all the good and time worthy tcgs. It really is a tough time for the hobby. I don’t think it’s right that these men, probably with no job, spend their time taking away the enjoyment from others. Hopefully this clears up soon and we can watch the shelves be stocked full again soon.
Some vendors and employees are in on the scamming tho🤷♂️ This doesn't surprise me at all honestly..have yall heard of Black Friday?? People literally get trampled to death for a big screen TV. It's the sports cards that are the most valuable item not the pokemon cards. My local sports card store told me you can pull a $50,000 card in a new pack of basketball cards😱 plus this pandemic lockdown is causing people to become a little more crazy than normal.
I have no evidence of that, but wouldn’t be surprised. We saw that with the McDonald’s cards with managers selling them by the box to make extra cash. It’s a sad scene
Only 2 minutes in but first of all, Walmart employees should be directed to hand it to customers one by one and anyone who doesn't behave like an adult should be ejected and banned from the purchasing cards in the future. Second of all, I understand scalpers are an issue but they're only doing this because they're making money so people need to STOP buying these products online and in person above retail. Once that happens I promise they will move on. Now to finish watching the vid..
Keep this about Pokémon and don’t bring the topic of masks etc. I’m over this propaganda. Don’t worry about people and their masks. But I agree with everything else you here in this video. These people have been out of control for Pokémon cards that will dramatically will be reprinted.
@@daleHarrison93 it depends what set. Like Chilling Reign definitely speaks to me as a fan of Articuno. But these people are out here thinking they are going to be rich by scalping. The stuff that’s a lot of money now is Vintage. I still have two Team Rocket 1st Ed booster boxes sealed in my collection. That will forever continue to rise because it is very rare.
If you watch the video it clearly shows them clearing out SPORTS PRODUCTS, you see one person with 2 etbs that are pokemon and multiple tins left on the shelf these ppl want sports bc its way more profitable, and honestly sucks still seeing ppl make this video seem like its pokemon related and its really not
If you watch the end of the video a guy grabs a handful of shining fates. To think this doesn’t happen to Pokémon products is naive. Check Reddit. Check the comments on the video. It’s the same thing that goes on!
@@PokeJebel i agree it happens with pokemon but I guarantee that guy got them bc there were no sports left. And fair point to mention how old this video is now and at this time products are available inside walmarts and other store and not being picked up immediately. Printing has increased alot but the fact is that ppl aren't running in stores like wild animals for pokemon anymore. If media would stop attempting to hype up every little situation life would be fine for most collectors.
It wouldn't be so bad but they were fighting over My Little Pony TCG. :), they're going to be disappointed if they pick up Battle Styles ETB's...oh they left those !
Im in Japan the release of eevee heroes was a disaster buysoftware got almost all the stock while scalpers got the rest from physical stores not a single kid got any, hell I couldn't get any they Need to start a psudo watch program just for pokemon now......for preorders a my number card or paper should be only accepted add pre orders limited as well people mass buying shouldn't be accepted and family ringed into it shouldn't be......
If pokemon center implement an id verification system it'll stop bots entirely for special sets its a bit harsh but it needs to be done now it solves the issue entirely, id should be used in america such as passport because I've seen people with multiple state driver licences only Japan the my number or passport, Australia well it's not too bad yet from what I see other places im not quite aware of
Part 2 comment lol: I agree with you 100% on everything. One thing to note is that Target still sold Pokemon product online. I looked out of curiosity and bought a rapid and single strike battle styles box and shining fates etb. They sell out quick but they show up. If they don't enforce a limit there, they shoud but I believe online makes it easier for anyone wanting to resell. There software for this and it's easier to hop on your computer than to drive out. My Target did a virtual line on Fridays at 8am where you gave your name and number and had to leave the area to either shop or wait in your car. When you got a text that it was your turn you were able to go and pick up what they had available. First there was a limit of 3 items then a limit of 2. I liked that a lot, there was stuff I hadn't seen in ages and it was peaceful BUT I did sign up after a guy who told them to put his wife and son down and then I saw groups of friends where 1 guy was the only person buying. That was annoying but better than other option in my opinion. Also agree with you about the covid situation. Sure there are some people who need the money but they have like 2-3 items to sell. Then there are people with pallets of cases. These people literally have the funds and make the profit on anyone willing to shell out extra money. The only way this will stop is as I said, people relax and realize that they will eventually be able to buy this stuff for retail or force resellers to sell for a low amounts so maybe some stuff is like 15 bucks higher than retail. I think troublemakers should be banned from stores and last of all, I do think things are getting better. I've seen stock and I've seen people leave stuff behind for once. It's just gonna take time considering this year is packed with so much exciting product for Pokemon's 25th. P.S. - Just watched a vid from Z and G... any thoughts on PSA upcharging after submission and the wait and basing prices on value months after someone submitted? Great vid, thank you for making these.
Lots of fantastic info! You’re absolutely right and I really think in this day and age of technology and software something can be designed to make it fair for people to queue for pre orders or products virtually. It’s incredibly difficult to implement due to volume, but I think it has to be done to combat scalping

"If they're running, I'm running" perfectly sums up the last year of Pokemon. "If they're leaving, I'm leaving" will sum up the next year
"These are like mutants" LOL
Spot on though...
Might have gone too far with that but I couldn’t think of a word at the time 😅🤣

I feel like putting an in-store limit per family would have been a better solution than stopping all sales.
