Fire rate over firepower makes a lot of sense. There's one shot head shots in this game, so it only makes sense that fire rate > firepower The same thing goes for Rainbow Six Siege, another game where one shot from any weapon to the head will kill you. Fire rate > firepower
Fire rate over firepower is right, but it's worth pointing out that this game doesn't have 1 shot headshots around the board. Each weapon has a maximum range at which their headshots are lethal, so that factor means that fast and accurate placement of shots is only a guaranteed kill at specific ranges and higher damage translates to more consistent one hit kill headshots at range. Ultimately in most cases being able to consistently land 2 or 3 quick body shots at range might be more valuable than banking on that one headshot if you aren't a seasoned marksman in the game, and if certainly has even greater advantages in a close quarters skirmish.
My favorite is losing 2 stars to the guy sitting in the corner with a shot gun like a pressure plate trap. He has been a complete null point in the fight until you decide to scan around compound one more time before looting and relocating.
TLDR: I'm not a Dolch boy, but damn gun sucks now, kinda-ish. I use Dolch: can't hit a Grunt if I wanted to, oh look I'm out of ammo already. (See exhibit A of Hornet almost dying at Healing Waters and spamming for dear life) Hornet + Dolch= 99% hitscans (100% would be cheating :p) I don't care much about Dolch price but I feel the nerf is insane and adding insult to injury. I'd rather use a base Nagant. And yes I was there when people basically replaced their rifles for Dolches and threw shotguns on top. Nobody uses Dolch anyways, Uppercut is the new Dolch and we all see how that turned out. Spitfire is becoming the new Dolch now, Crytek must be seething with the nerf instinct 😆

The Avtomat really makes you feel like the squad Heavy. Super powerful, but you kinda have to sacrifice individual utility.
