Watching ur vid, i saw how honourable of a pilot u're. Never going to kill steal ur teamate prey, assisting ur teamate during combat, be a recon... the trust u have in them is really admirable.
The way you played the 190 is very different then I play. I just climb and BnZ and if I am tailed I go straight reversal. Here you played bit tacticaly which I liked it :).
They really turned the 190's into buses in war thunder, pretty sad when you fly them out in other sims and realize how nerfed they've become, also going up against planes from the future all the time is frustrating as hell but I still enjoy taking them out from time to time.
Yeah their flight models are pretty terrible in war thunder for some reason, the only ones that don't feel like busses are the Fw 190 C and the Ta 152 H1, but all of the mainline As and Ds feel so heavy
shallow climbing in planes with good linear energy retention and a high top speed is good in an energy fight, but you shouldn't be doing it at the start of a match if you want to maximize your energy state in that time. you're losing a lot of energy (that could be made into altitude) to drag in doing this. i would climb at about 280kph ias if you're just climbing to gain altitude for an energy advantage, it's more efficient.
Hi. Curious on your choice of "Universal" and "Default" for the 20's. I always thought that with the higher amount of minengeschoss in the Aircraft belts were paramount?!
The ammo belts listed at the start are merely describing what I was using for that match. Sorry that it's unclear, but they're not recommendations for best performance.
i see that warthunder still hasnt fixed the fw-190 a-4 ,i have played on and off for 6 years and the wingroot mg 151 20mm cannons are still missing the bulged upper wing panel like on the a-5 other than that great video great info think im gonna fly my 190 right now,
@@tiagomartins4488 As far as I've read, they were a lot more maneuverable in real life than in War Thunder, though part of this may have been describing the relative lack of compression, which was more important in real life due to the prevalence of diving attacks as opposed to dogfighting, which was a suboptimal method of combat.
How do you guys fight p51s in this thing? I just can't think of anything to counter those bastards (except with headons or a huge speed/altitude advantage)
You'll have to use reversals, which are a more risky tactic than the ones you see me using in this video. My other Fw.190 videos show you how to do it, though, especially my gameplay video on the Fw.190A-1.
Maneuvers are really just names for what the plane does, so that people can communicate what's going on. As the pilot, you should be thinking more about where you want the plane to be, and at what speed and orientation. The maneuver you take is just your way of getting there. Rolling is simply the act of orienting your wings so that you can turn in a new direction. Most often, you won't find yourself doing a full 360° roll. Instead, you roll until the top of the aircraft is pointing in the direction you want to go, and then turn. A barrel roll is just what results when you are trying to turn during the entire time that you're orienting your wings. Usually, you do this when you can't afford to wait before you turn, such as when an obstacle or munitions are rapidly approaching your current location.
I saw the video, and the tactic has worked really well, but I still don't know what to do after a head on where nobody died, do you run and get that distance or do you turn around?
It's a matter of how confident you are in your aim. A farther convergence range means you expect to hit your shots from farther away. I've settled on 600 m as standard since at my farthest, I try to hit shots from 1.2 km away.
What is the factor that determines whether you play a certain plane in a hit and run style instead of BnZ or vice-versa? What characteristics of the aircraft?
For dogfighting planes you want an excellent turn rate and a pretty decent top speed. Boom and zoom don’t turn as well but they have good acceleration in a dive and climb pretty well most of the time. Hit and run is kinda like boom and zoom but you want good energy retention and good acceleration
1. Download a userskin 2. Move the skin .zip file into the Userskins folder inside of your War Thunder folder. 3. Right-click the skin .zip file and extract it in Userskins 4. Open War Thunder 5. Select "Customization" on the vehicle the userskin is for 6. Click on the "User skin" drop-down menu and select the name of the userskin you downloaded 7. Enjoy (privately, other players can't see your userskin)

The crosshairs are lined up with the 7.92 MGs. The cannon shells will land below the crosshairs. Remember this in head-ons

Glad to have you back making videos!
Love the new camera angle for the intro, slightly less claustrophobic.

A sick triple kill intro, looking forward to another lesson!
Love your tutorials. I have the FW D-13, A-5/U, and trying to spade my D-9. Hopefully, some of your tips will pay off.
bruh, i've D9 and i cant fly that brick
very nicely done, Horrido ^w^ makes me wish I had the money to upgrade so I can run Warthunder again
My pilot just blacks out any time I try to turn with the 190 fast enough to not get shredded by anybody else

Please do a video for F6F Hellcat 😾

My favourite flyng tank
it's amazing how the Fw can't make a turn, I wonder if in real life they were like that

@@Renta352 I'm kinda late to reply but Thank you
Hi Renta is there a rule of thumb when to roll horizontally vs roll vertically (barell roll)?

You can keep going if you have the energy advantage, but if the enemy has noticeably more energy you're going to have to turn back around and engage.
Thank you, I have been using this wrong for a year 💀
I’ve noticed in all your vids I’ve seen that your convergence is always set to 600m, how’d you settle on that distance?

is ''.31 cal'' the 7.92mm?
Yes.
hey Renta i love your videos can you do a fighter school on the YP-38 ?
What is the factor that determines whether you play a certain plane in a hit and run style instead of BnZ or vice-versa? What characteristics of the aircraft?
The first video in my Fighter School playlist covers this, and those following it go into more detail.
For dogfighting planes you want an excellent turn rate and a pretty decent top speed. Boom and zoom don’t turn as well but they have good acceleration in a dive and climb pretty well most of the time. Hit and run is kinda like boom and zoom but you want good energy retention and good acceleration
Please do France low tier
this is too op to get in the hands of wt players
can somebody tell me why he isn't using air targets belt on 20mm ?? i thought its the best one on german 20 mils
Because with Universal on the MG 151s and Default on the MG FF/Ms, the tracers almost line up with one another.
It looks cool, and I like having fun.
@@Renta352 oh thanks for answer
Why the switching to cockpit view?
I'm checking my aircraft's inclination in HUD view.
