I am for TN. Malayalam movies I will rate no: 1 in India. The stories that Malayalam movies delivers is not just random cliches and they concentrate much on their stories than fight scenes. There is great future for Malayalam movies in world cinema.
Im Sri Lankan tamil and I agree. But low budget tamil movies with no star cast are also on Malayalam movie level. These movies focus more on story, content, acting and a realistic.
Each film industry in south is different from each other. Malayalam film industry is doing realistic movies, Tamil film industry is always want to do engaging movies, telugu film industry is doing larger than life movies and kannada film industry is doing best budget films.

U've got to go deep into non commercial aspects of movies that regional films come out with. An industry cannot always be judged on it's commercial success as such. I think where south is way ahead of Bollywood is with their content for instance Malayalam mainstream cinema is the best in the country. The audience in South support such artsy films thereby guiding the directors who think in that direction and hence producers are able to make a good profit out of these whereas Bollywood is one place that doesn't support outsiders into their Industry unless they intend for a remake 🤷🏻♂️

I am malayalee . Who watched both the movies and Dia is above average movie and tumbadd is variety movie and it's superb. In Bollywood it's hard to find such movies. Back then Bhool Bhoolaiya,Hera pheri,Chup chup ke,Billu Barber,Khatta Meetha,2006 ka Dor and more are remakes of Malayalam movies which i search and even watch the original ones during this lockdown by help of my kerala friend who made the subtitles as its unavailable.So its was producing great content from back then,But it come to notice after arrival of Ott as they provide subtitles.Well when i see back then there was also not that much malayalam hindi dubbed movies.But had seen many Telungu and Tamil .I think Maybe Mollywood werent trying to put investment and spread their movie names.Latest i saw a Malayalam Movie of Fahaad Fazil "See U soon" as it shot with full mobile selfie mode and i was amazed with that content and engament even full are like video calling and selfie mode video shoot.And its written in google that it was shot like that bc of Covid lockdowns.Such a brilliant,creative and innovative work that i had seen in Indian cinema so far though bc of Covid, And watching Original Body guard from Malayalam movie made me realized difference of Salmaan khan acting and Mollywood actors. Dear Reviewer, First you do research on South Indian movie. Our South Indian movies in four languages are always on the top since from beginning when films started making in India. But the thing was there were no digital platform was not there. Now digital India is there and before we have to wait around 1 year to get video cassette, flopy, CD etc. And North people cannot get access to South India because of poor communications system, but we South people had access to North Indian film interest. If you want to know real capacity of South movies go and watch some movies from1980 to 2010 in all languages and compare with bollywood.
I was talking about the box office of current south movies, they are record breaking in the last 5 to 10 years. I never said about movies before this being bad . Infact u just proved my point that old south movies were not that much available to outside people because of language differences not because they were bad movies.
What really irritates me, is that when they dub Tamil movies in Hindi the Hindi version gets more attention even though Tamil was the original, I understand that Hindi speakers are more common than Tamil speakers. But the reactions. Reaction channels ONLY react to the Hindi dub. I don't know if anyone else understands. But It gets me so mad-
Man i think you do not about malayalam industry we don't do over the top action movies we always have realistic movies There occur a dark age between 2000 to 2010 . Before and after that malayalam industry always produced gems. You don't have the exposure to the malayalam indusrty doesn't mean they were bad. There are many classics here some you guys remake like hera pheri khatta metta bhool bhulaiyya etc you have to watch its original to understand what was malayalam industry then. You can't generalize all south indian movies where over the top action and all.

I am malayalee . Who watched both the movies and Dia is above average movie and tumbadd is variety movie and it's superb. In Bollywood it's hard to find such movies. But in mollywood it's not like that . You will be amazed that in mollywood comedians are doing very emotional scenes and it's superb even topstars find it difficult to catch up with them .

Back then Bhool Bhoolaiya,Hera pheri,Chup chup ke,Billu Barber,Khatta Meetha,2006 ka Dor and more are remakes of Malayalam movies which i search and even watch the original ones during this lockdown by help of my kerala friend who made the subtitles as its unavailable.So its was producing great content from back then,But it come to notice after arrival of Ott as they provide subtitles.Well when i see back then there was also not that much malayalam hindi dubbed movies.But had seen many Telungu and Tamil .I think Maybe Mollywood werent trying to put investment and spread their movie names.Latest i saw a Malayalam Movie of Fahaad Fazil "See U soon" as it shot with full mobile selfie mode and i was amazed with that content and engament even full are like video calling and selfie mode video shoot.And its written in google that it was shot like that bc of Covid lockdowns.Such a brilliant,creative and innovative work that i had seen in Indian cinema so far though bc of Covid, And watching Original Body guard from Malayalam movie made me realized difference of Salmaan khan acting and Mollywood actors.

First you do research on South Indian movie. Our South Indian movies in four languages are always on the top since from beginning when films started making in India. But the thing was there were no digital platform was not there. Now digital India is there and before we have to wait around 1 year to get video cassette, flopy, CD etc. And North people cannot get access to South India because of poor communications system, but we South people had access to North Indian film interest. If you want to know real capacity of South movies go and watch some movies from1980 to 2010 in all languages and compare with bollywood.
I was talking about the box office of current south movies, they are record breaking in the last 5 to 10 years. I never said about movies before this being bad . Infact u just proved my point that old south movies were not that much available to outside people because of language differences not because they were bad movies.

What really irritates me, is that when they dub Tamil movies in Hindi the Hindi version gets more attention even though Tamil was the original, I understand that Hindi speakers are more common than Tamil speakers. Man i think you do not about malayalam industry we don't do over the top action movies we always have realistic movies There occur a dark age between 2000 to 2010 . Before and after that malayalam industry always produced gems. You don't have the exposure to the malayalam indusrty doesn't mean they were bad. There are many classics here some you guys remake like hera pheri khatta metta bhool bhulaiyya etc you have to watch its original to understand what was malayalam industry then. You can't generalize all south indian movies where over the top action and all.
