Miriam Lancewood built a tiny house

- Miriam Lancewood lived with her husband Peter for seven years in the wilderness of New Zealand. They left civilisation in 2010 and walked into the mountains with not much more than a backpack. They roamed around like nomads, slept in a tent, cooked on a fire and Miriam learned to hunt with bow and arrow. Their observations and experiences are unique in this technological world.
Since Miriam met Peter in 2006, they have been nomadic and lived and traveled in many different countries. At present they are in the Rodopi mountains in Bulgaria, east Europe.
Miriam's memoir 'Woman in the Wilderness', became an international Bestseller. In 2020 the sequel 'Wild at heart' came out, and in 2023 she co-edited a new publication called 'Wilder Journeys'.

Well done Miriam, you should be very proud of it, building a house with your own hands!!
I had to upload this video again because I used a copyright song (The Black Keys) in the last one, and it got kicked off.
😁
Hi Miriam. Love the hut. Well done. Did you know you can use music from TH-cam audio library? You can download it on your device, than add to your movie. It's free and you have no copy right issues. It's in the menu on the left in youtube studio. (started a youtube channel - not this account- 2 months ago and that's what I've been using). 😊✌️
Поздравления! Много добре 😊
Very clever and beautiful woman!
I concur. Surprisingly strong too. 😊
You are so cool! What an inspiration you are!
Well done, Miriam! Anyone who can build their own house has so much less to fear.
What a truly satisfying experience, sitting in the little home you built with your own hands! You are an inspiration in so many ways Miriam! ❤
Miriam I love how you have started this clip and love the music you have chosen and I wish I could live like you, I'm just not as brave as you are! xx
Miriam I have read your first book, Women in the Wilderness, and it stuck in my mind so much since all these years it's been out, I absolutely Loved it, I felt like I had already been to New Zealand just by reading it. I had no doubts you had built this hut with no previous reference, you are a problem solver! Well done for this nice achievement.
Where are you at the moment ? Jezus I travelled loads of countries when I was younger and then had my Son. He is now almost 18 and I am seriously considering turning life around again. Wild and free living never leaves you, its stronger than life itself…. Hope all is well! Been following your journeys and and just longing for that freedom again! I do think I dont want to do it on my own anymore but not that many people seem to be up for a total life switch.
Very satisfying ✨🌷🍃🌷🍃✨
Looks sturdy nice one.
Miriam you give me a lot of inspiration
Thank you very much

Helo Miriam I m hicham from the Morocco also wish you good luck
I admired your way of life so much, in the past I also dreamed of having a Nederland girlfriend and traveling with her all over the world.
But do you know, Mariam, why I said a Nederland girl friend , and not an English or French girl friend or something else, because Nederlands girls, it's beautiful and sexy like you, and have a very strong personality, and this is what I greatly prefer in a Nederland girl friend .
❤️💕
That's a great hut. I like the blue and yellow together.
I'm reading your book Miream, I'd love to just leave everything, in this fake materialistic life, but I don't have your strength, wow,, your endurance is amazing, love from Australia.❤🧡💛
You inspire so many. Very best wishes, Kiwi, down under.
Love you!!!!!!
I love the ladies harmony in this one. And of course well done Miriam.

You and Peter despite the elements look extremely healthy, way to go!!
What an awesome mind set and cool hut.
Beautiful house, well done!❤️
Learning alot. No expectations. Giving up comparing.
Very beautiful.
Well done, you look pleased with yourself and rightly so. Love the blue colour
Miriam you are amazing. Glad to see you doing well.
How is your little doggy?
Looks fantastic! I'm impressed!
I like the blue details:)
❤ bravo Miriam
Awesome! Well done Miriam. It is a beautiful lil' house
What an amazing feat to accomplish, especially for your first hut. Enjoy watching your journey and Peter's.
❤❤❤❤
You've done a lovely job Miriam, considering it's your first build. Excellent work. No recycling centres near you then, I take it, like they have here in the UK. Certainly timber-wise, they have tons of the stuff here that just gets dumped. What a waste !!! I suppose it must go to making something else I suppose.
😮 amazing
Super!❤
its beautiful! Good job!
Thank you for sharing this, I feel inspired to do the same.
You are an amazing person. I learn about you and Peter through Ben Fogle. Love to see more of you two.
Yes, for others, anyone can watch it on youtube at:

You’re a good woman in Bulgaria 🤩 Sweet job done.
Supergaaf! 💚
in Bulgarian we call that hummer : тесла /tesla/😄. good job
Miriam thank you for allowing us(followers) a glimpse into your world, I feel truly blessed 😊 🙏 ty.
I have a thought about your glass windows.... I imagine they are 1 pane windows... would you consider putting 2 layers(2 pane)of glass as it may help insulate better.
Allow a space of space of air(1/2inch) between the glass. It'll help keep heat or cold from penetrating to the inside space.
Please respond in a video format if it does help w interior climate control.
Best wishes😊
Hello Miriam and Peter, why don't you get a Donkey or some Pack Animal when carrying huge weight ist problem?
Such a grazing animal can feed itself on wild forest vegetation, depending on correct species. Less domesticated species may be better, I believe.
It can also warn and protect against intruders.
Maybe Peter would be able to still travel that way instead of being home bound?
Less weight on back or resting on the proper animal species of researched choice..?

🙂
Lol. Echt gaaf!! Vraag..nu jullie niet hiken eet je dan weer vega?🌸🌸
Ja :)
Mistake = Experience :)
Yes, haha. It's a matter of interpretation isn't it.
Calling something a failure or a success is often your own choice.
1:51 in Turkey? whaat
I love Turkey 🇹🇷 and it's a pretty flag. In east Bulgaria are many ethnic Turkish people, they speak only Turkish. (To keep PC, we also have a Bulgarian flag 😊)
Love the music in this one. Are the skulls your own handiwork there Miriam with bow or rifle?
If you look closely, you'll see an old cow, deer and horse skull. I just found them here in the forest. I hung them on the wall.
You never know, if reincarnation is true, then it might be myself in a former life. One can not be respectful enough.
Music is Bulgaria Dilmano Dilbero at th-cam.com/video/Ju7GI1gNNwo/w-d-xo.html
@@miriamlancewoodinthewild Ah ok. An interesting thought on reincarnation and you building your dwelling and decorating it with your own old reincarnations bones, hihi.
I just discovered you today through Ben Fogle video. So I guess you made it to Turkey, hey? So instead of looking for that 2500€ house, you built one?! hahahaha... you are definitely an interesting young lady!
Have you seen any Yowies out there in the wilderness..?
No, I don't think so
Thank you 😀
SUPERGAAF !!!
💪🏼🦚
Why is there a turkish flag?
