I really like this series because it balances out other content creators, not too much fuss and it's very chill. Lovely to watch when needing to cool down a bit or just chill doing slayer etc. Thanks!
I don't know much about OSRS, but I like how you explain things, and the series is really interesting to watch! Thanks for the great content Trader Steve! ♥
I know how you feel. It kinda hard to fully explain the game. You might want to try it. Please don't do iron status as if you never play before it best way to learn it and it free to play and there pay to play for more skills. Beware some players may give a million gp to help you out.
My favorite thing about this series is that it kind of doubles as a guide for new players playing a normal account. They can see what gear they ought to use, content that makes them GP, etc.
Hadn't thought of this I should probably remember a lot of this then lol. I'm gonna start playing at... some point. Though, I'm a grindy idiot so I suspect I'm gonna be mob farming for money mostly lol.
I can't describe the feeling of instant anticipation and joy when I see the next new Trader Steve video pop up in my feed. Most underrated OsRs series atm for sure, I think I might like it more than McTile despite Settled obviously having access to higher production quality. :)
It's really been fun watching this series. I'm a casual Runescape player and i've been subbed for a while now. But I don't often stick to or look forward to many OSRS content creator series - a lot of times they all blend together or just aren't very relevant to me. I think you have done a really good job with this one though. It's different, it's getting you to use some unconventional means to progress. Rather than just the same challenges that everyone has been doing lately, or the same optimal money makers that everyone defaults to. It's a lot more *fun* to watch and I also enjoy playing the game that way more as well. Coming up with unique ideas like these is something that I've always liked about your channel and I'm really happy to see that this series is successful for you.
When you said Shades of Mortton got reworked "a couple of years back," I said out loud it hadn't been that long. No shit. Jan 2021. I thought that it'd been a year max, maybe. How time fucking flies, man. I'm a whole-ass different person now. Maybe several times over. Always love the content, man. You've got a hell of a voice.
When I started OSRS I immediatly went Ironman but your series absolutely makes me want to play a main, you make money making, GE flipping and all that stuff look so fun!
trust me dont.. i stopped playing like that because GE kinda broke the game for me.. it made everything "too easy" grinding for your first few items you create yourself is way more rewarding than just making a typical moneymaker and then buying op stuff to reach high levels
One thing I recommend to shades of Mortton minigame if on Runelite, is to use entity hider to make using oils to fire easier. Otherwise I use it on other players or shades often by accident
Great as always. Since you are training your combats anyway, you are now also 2 tiles away from Warriors Guild I think, which will give you access to defender, as well as 2 better teleports to that part of the map, and needed for loads of quests anyway!
iirc you only need to keep the highest tier key because it opens lower tier doors. noticed you always kept a steel and a black key. pretty sure the black key opens steel doors too? might just have to verify before perm dropping it but it's easily checked. drop steel key if door doesn't open then I was wrong XD
It's funny to follow this series because not only am I getting some good money making tips, it kind of validates my shades of Mor'ton obsession. Firemaking is the highest level on my account, followed by fishing, cooking and woodcutting. All to get enough food to do Wintertodt to get enough firemaking to burn higher shade remains. Now I just have to take the leap to 90 firemaking so I can get the primo stuff.
Really enjoy your content bruh.. im still fairly new to the game but enjoy this series and the flipping guides..i do get a few good ones now and then lol.. please keep up the awesome content man
It is crazy to see how much the price of Asyn remains has dropped since the release of this video. It has regained a reasonable portion of its value from July onwards, but I think you inspire a lot of people with your money making methods.
Series is awesome! Just wanted to mention, you may as well fill out the berserker set and go at them with the ammy to speed up kills if you're wearing the top and bottom anyway.
Shades is my main money maker as an ironman right now. When im doing slayer and get a brimstone key and get all the magic logs i know its an easy 800k with the loot and crafting alchs. Glad to see other people doing it!
another good transportation to unlock is the spirit tree, since there is one in the ge already, itll just take to unlock the quest to be able to use it
if you're using obby for the strength bonus, maybe you should buy the helmet too and a zerker necklace to do high damage with an obby sword!! could be higher dps than what you have now! great video again :)
You had me at 11:41 I wasn't watching the time. Was like, "ALREADY!?" 80 firemaking wouldnt cost a ton and it won't take long. Yea it's not the most interesting thing to do, but the xp per hour is insane for firemaking. Also before you get to it, get an abyssal dagger if you're planning to do all obsidian gear. I tried both and despite what I was told, the dagger is significantly better then using the obsidian.
I love shades. So chill. Save to bleached bones from the monster that occasionally spawn when opening chest. Use the bones on the altar to restore prayer
i think you have to unlock the grand tree balloon route from the grand tree! its used in monkey madness 2. So sadly won't be able to use it to get there :(
@@Cyzs66 You are correct. Having the Grand Tree route already unlocked is a pre-req for starting Monkey Madness 2, but there is no reverse pre-req. In fact, you can use the Grand Tree balloon route to get to the Grand Tree, do that quest, and then use the Spirit Tree there to (one-way trip) skip the Tree Gnome Maze to start the Tree Gnome Village quest to then unlock the rest of Spirit Tree travel functionality.
West Entrana chunk will add a hops patch you'll have access to, that could make it worthwhile in the long run anyway even if the balloon itself wasn't already.
Name a greater duo, Flipping and Shades of Mort’on. You’ve mentioned this across so many videos! And still it’s a relatively unpopular method despite being consistently shown to be worthwhile
I don't know if they are consistent, but doesn't failing the hot air balloon also lead you to another destination along the way? Could end up being useful if the one on the way to Castle Wars for instance leads close to Yanille or something
Can't you move your house to Taverley and just house tab to get there? Or are you not allowing yourself to do that, or are there additional requirements I'm unaware of?
asyn shades can turn into black or silver keys. black keys have a 1/35.28 for med clue. silver keys drop hard clues at a 1/76.19. salve amulet could be nice as well.
had an interesting thought for a miniseries that would be best performed by you - gp only ironman, where you are only a member as long as you make enough gp to buy a bond on the GE (as an ironman)
you could drop 1m before you're able to use an item you looted if you wanted to make sure you were "paying" for chunks? you could keep track of it with item tags on items you have but didn't unlock. personally, i don't mind if you do something like that or not, but the rule would keep the "trader" fantasy going
Man I love Trader Steve but I can’t help but feel like it would’ve been more interesting if he was a HCUIM stuck in Zanaris and can only use GE for upgrades and trading. Still a fun series though ;)
I imagine it's a bit late but I made this comment on the last video. Not done watching this vid yet but before it slips my mind I was curious to see if this would be allowed. I'm pretty sure you could have moved your house to Taverly and just teleported straight to the chunk to start Druidic Ritual and unlocked the chunk below to complete the quest. Realistically considering the end goal of a quest cape AND the fact that the hot air balloon can save the odd chunk here and there that is probably still better. For example: Further down the road the Observatory quest. The Castle Wars balloon might save you from having to unlock an extra chunk when running up to it.
I added in a few transportation methods that are natural forms of transport. These are more exeptions, not the rule. Iv decided not to allow magic/fairy rings/minigmae teles etc to unlock new chunks. This was mainly because I thought it would otherwise be too easy to teleport to some of the best meta money making methods.
it's been a few years since i played but iirc runelite has a camera plugin that lets you detatch and move the camera around, he probably used that. i don't remember if you could actually move your character around when using it, though, so i might be wrong
I really like this series because it balances out other content creators, not too much fuss and it's very chill. Lovely to watch when needing to cool down a bit or just chill doing slayer etc. Thanks!

Steve is so inspiring
I try man, I put my pants on three legs at a time just like you.
Only chunk series apart from Limp that's interesting.
I know that's right!
This series got me into runescape! Love the vids man, some of the best osrs content on youtube
Trade Steve's journey is an inspiring one, all hail Steve!
Man I'm really looking forward to this series, can't wait for Steve to rock max gear and become grandnmaster trader in Gielinor! 🔥
Trader Steve is in my top 3 fav series. Cheers.
Man I am enjoying this series so much. So entertaining.
Unlocking castle wars might be worthwhile as it's a quick/easy bank to use and makes using the hot air balloons more convenient
Love this series man. Ty for the new episode :)

I saw you down here the other day! I've been waiting for this video to come out
Don't forget you can use the abyss to access runecrafting altars and exit them to unlock those chunks too
I think he said no to that and fairy rings aswell at the beginning
@@phobspharms ah damn, I knew no teles but this feels like it'd be fine since he did gotr.
Dampe's actually a reference to The Legend of Zelda. For what it's worth, most people say his name "Dahm-pay."
Ocarina of time

For quicker travel to Taverly you can always change your House Portal from rimmington to Taverly
Great Video as always :)
When Steve said “1211112211211113333311111121221133311111111111112222222”
I felt that.
Yessss trader Steve this has been a great series man gonna be sad when it's over❤
I'm annoyed at how many subscribers you have... such a dedicated channel that gets very little credit 👏
You deserve more
I appreciate you

Yooo I commented last video about levlling construction, so nice to see you were thinking similar!
Oh boy do I love Steve
fun fact Dampe is named after the gravedigger from the Legend of Zelda
If you want to farm that hops patch on Entrana you could use your ring of elements to get to the sawmill balloon and go from there.
asyn shades can turn into black or silver keys. black keys have a 1/35.28 for med clue. silver keys drop hard clues at a 1/76.19. salve amulet could be nice as well.
the pressure on the Zs never fails

Love this series!
Damn, was hoping this would stay under the radar forever.
I have good news for you. The Bloodbark and Swampbark buffs passed the vote so that content is about to become a lot more popular.
Are dungeons like taverly restricted to the chunks unlocked above ground? Or is it enough to unlock the entrence?
had an interesting thought for a miniseries that would be best performed by you - gp only ironman, where you are only a member as long as you make enough gp to buy a bond on the GE (as an ironman)

The Balloon Transport System has Bail/Crash sites that drops you between your chosen destination. The wiki only says 2 Crash sites.

Is it possible to use the salve on those guys? May be a good tile investment to do haunted mine before the grind
i love your videos, and i havent played runescape in 17 years lol
How are you doing this many series and they are all engaging ❤
This is such an awesome series
Quick question: How do you record the footage at around ~28:00, where you zoom out, but your character moves around?
it's been a few years since i played but iirc runelite has a camera plugin that lets you detatch and move the camera around, he probably used that. i don't remember if you could actually move your character around when using it, though, so i might be wrong
might be using an alt plus the oculus orb
Drinking Game : Whenever he says "Already" & "finally" you sip
works for the entire series.... boi
Is there a runelite plug in for this type of account? saw there was one for tileman...
What is the runelight plug-in called for the Ballon system?
Honestly I dont even play anymore but I love this series
Why not unlock air ballon from entrana to varrock (you already should have the chunk unlocked) to then go from varrock to taverly??
Cant wait for trader steve to meet slayer steve
Awesome series
What would you say your speed was for your barrows runs iirc?
Which plugin is it for the collection log pop-ups, please?
Trader Steve, The Top G
The unlocked quest icons on the map revealed you were gonna use hot air balloons 😮😮
