    Interesting! Currently researching how to go from student visa to freelancer but it seems like an uphill battle.

      Freelance visas are a bit tricky in Japan, but if you're still studying your school might be able to give you some advice and referrals!

    I am currently studying Game Development in the Netherlands but I realised that I also want to pursue animation, especially directing the animations and having my own studio to have full creative freedom. I was thinking about going to study Animation in Japan once I have my Game Development degree too. I'm currently learning Japanese but I'm still at JLPT N5 but I'm studying everyday to improve my level. This video really cleared things up for me, and it's actually really interesting to know you created your own studio and didn't just go to work in a pre-existing studio, like most. I wanna do the same and this was really inspiring! Thank you and may your studio find success!! May I ask what school you attended for Animation? I looked at TCA's Master Animator Degree and I was wondering if you need to show them your art portfolio to get in? Usually that's how it is for most art schools so I was confused when I didn't see it anywhere.

      Hi there! Your plans sound wonderful and I'm sure you will find success in your studies. Mar went to Tokyo Design Academy, which is not one of our partner schools so we are unfortunately unable to assist with giving any further information. We would recommend reaching out to the school directly, or possibly looking into one of our partnered vocational schools, Akademeia 21st Century! Here you can find more information: gogonihon.com/en/schools/vocational-schools/tokyo/akademeia-21st-century/

    Just to clarify, what she did was get a degree from her home country then she moved to japan without any knowledge of the Japanese language, she learned the language and then she got into building her studio. If thats the case then maybe I can do it too, except im not planning on building a studio, ill look for a job. Am i right ? Is this a viable path ?

    • @GoGoNihonGo
      @GoGoNihonGo  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! This is indeed a viable path and one that many people do. What Mar did was that she got her degree in Japan after studying Japanese, but if you already have a degree you can go job-hunting straight away after your language studies! 👍

      @@GoGoNihonGo hey! Could you please tell me how she got a degree in Japan? Did she get herself into a Japanese University? And are you really sure that what I suggested, getting a degree from my home country then using it in Japan is a viable path ? I am not saying that I'll 100% get a job with that but still is it a good choice ?

    Hi! This video was very inspiring. I am Polish and been living in England since 2013. Right now, I am finishing a BTEC course in creative art and design, and from September am going to study a foundation course in art and design for stage media and screen in my college. I am very passionate about learning animation and learning Japanese, however I haven’t found the time to learn Japanese. My dream and goal is to study animation and learn the language in Japan but I have no clue how to start with research, or applying to the right place. I have no idea what to do. I’d appreciate a response and some help?

      Hi there! You came to the right place. We can consult you about your options depending on your goals, and since it sounds like you are eager to properly study Japanese it would be best to start by going to language school. If you would like to get started, feel free to contact us through our website here: gogonihon.com/en/contact/

    I am currently pursuing an MSME in Mechanical Engineering and have a plan to work for a year and then go to IIJ to get N2 level! Is there any technical electives related to science terminology? Can't wait to be a part of japan. 😊

      Hi there! Your plan sounds great, but we do recommend having some sort of portfolio before you apply into art school. Maybe you can learn some basic animation during your language studies in Japan? We wish you the best of luck and when you're ready to start your language studies in Japan, don't hesitate to reach out to us!

    You forgot the part where your parents helped you get money to study japanese for 2 years, you should thank them

    • @GoGoNihonGo
      @GoGoNihonGo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone finances their studies differently! While studying, it's possible to work part time to cover some of the costs, and with enough savings it is entirely possible to study at a Japanese language school without any additional financial support. We have some great articles on this topic on our blog, like this one: gogonihon.com/en/blog/budget-to-study-in-japan/

    • @GoGoNihonGo

      At the moment, we do not partner with universities as our main goal is to assist people wanting to study Japanese in language school, and many students go on to study at Japanese universities afterwards!
