Hi there again! I'm back. I first messaged you during a video you did in Vietnam. I'm the guy that lives in Vietnam. I love KL too. Been there about 6 times. Go to the zoo, in mountain /jungle behind it, there is a place that does a 4 wheeler tour through that area and to a couple waterfalls there. It's great fun to ride a 4 wheeler.
These mini turtles are amazing, I really like them. Pity though they don't do them at 40mm as most watch companies are going that way now to accomodate for smaller wrist sizes. If at 40mm I would definately try and get one. Perhaps Seiko will do more diver watches in the future at 40mm, hope so anyway.
So I have 2/SRP turtles already but these have caught my attention. I thought it like the green better but it seem to me that the yellow is actually the real star of the show.

My impressions having been around several times is life just moves fast and thus it reflects in how society and urban development as well as consumer products advances. things go in and out of style really fast. I did pick up a Solar Tuna PADI edition. These newer solar tunas look better than previous, imho. They went back to the older styling with the dial and handset. Additionally, the bezel inserts are kind of nicer or more unique. They are translucent and you can actually see the numbers/markers raised under the surface.. And, pretty cool that 0-15 is lumed, too. The two zimbwe LE mini turtles are pretty cool. I think the yellow is the better of the two. I just prefer yellow and black, especially for a dive watch. Seiko has done an amazing job with another unusual dial treatment. At first I thought maybe it was the same pattern/texture they used in the LE Cocktail watches they had about a year or so ago.. specifically the Sakura Fubuki. But, looking closer, it is not the same pattern/texture and something completely different and new. I know a lot of people have gripes about Seiko's limited editions... I think you probably may have caught wind of the recent blue alpinist US limited edition just a couple weeks ago. Sure, on one hand Seiko may have done well to release that much anticipated and desired blue dial color for the alpinist as not limited edition. BUT, they did and so it is.. and, I agree with you, having limited edition watches gives some bit of added excitement to the watch collecting community.. something to strive for and if you can get one, it makes for a unique ownership experience to have something special that not everyone else can have. Sounds a little selfish, but then again having a watch collecting hobby is a self-indulgent activity anyways. Limited editions can bring excitement and joy, but always is a flipside for those who can't get those LE's or have a soured experience having to pay price hikes for popular desired LE's on the 2nd hand market. Thus is the way of life and limited edition game. BUT, I would like Seiko to keep truly limited editions truly limited. Meaning do not double dip in the limited edition pool! They've been a little sneaky with said LE Cocktail watches such as the Sakura Fubuki and Starlight watches.. They were mostly strongly advertised and marketed as JDM exclusives with set # of limited #'s. BUT, lesser advertised, Seiko also released essentially the same models with a different reference # for the larger Asian Pacific market.. also, limited edtion, but the limited #'s were even more.. about 2x what the JDM versions were. To add insult to injury, the only difference was the strap. Smooth vs Crocodile Textured. That's it?! Having the JDM Starlight, it was a bit disappointing to know that the limited edition wasn't truly that.. a strap change doesn't constitute a completely different watch or make it exceptionally special.. and, yes, felt a bit duped into the purchase and spoiled the moment knowing there were that many more examples floating around. Anyways.. sorry for a little small rant at the end. Your videos are a bit far and few between, but always enjoy catching up and seeing what you have whenever you make new ones.

Very annoying that weren't truthful at the onset how many they would be selling GLOBALLY and what you have been hoping would be a more exclusive piece is not so anymore. Lost my interest with Seikos a bit after that move. Until I saw the red Zimbe Samurai from this channel anyway. 😂

Thanks for the great review. I just picked up the green one and I absolutely love it. It was a toss up between the two, but as I already have a yellow watch in my collection and no green, that was the tiebreaker. I have a 7 inch wrist so I really enjoy these smaller divers.

Looks like the mini turtles have a Fibonacci pattern on their dials. Also if you go to a service center to adjust your chapter ring they will 1. refuse to do it saying it is "within tolerance or 2. charge you to do it.
I like them both and if only one was available I'd choose green first and yellow second. Reason being there are far fewer watches in colors other then blue so they both look great...!

According to Seiko Thailand official page, this is the Thailand only limited edition. I have seen it on sales in many places around Bangkok. 999 is Thai lucky number ;-)

The Zimbe collection is awesome. I've reviewed the 12 and 13 and while I sold the 13 I really liked the green phytoplankton.

Actually, I believe they were making watches before the Swiss were, I dunno.
