I generally prefer moulded LEGO creatures to brick-built ones especially for size Large and smaller creatures. There are exceptions such as the official beholder and owlbear, both of which look great, but broadly speaking, I favour moulded monsters.
@@Novcheck I got some in the sets they came in when they were released. So, yes, they were expensive but nothing like the subsequent prices on the secondary market.
Hey, do you have any advice for making a Tabaxi minifigure, specifically a ginger cat-colored one? I’ve spent hours trying to find headpieces that would look good and I could easily buy second hand. I know painting is always an option, but it would make the one PC’s figure stick out in a way I don’t enjoy personally. I’d really appreciate it if you have any suggestions!
I always try to look at Chima parts for anthropomorphic animal races. There was a tiger faction in Chima that might work for a ginger cat. Bricklink part 3626cpb1300, for example. Depending on the look you want you could use the outer head shaped piece with the ears too, or just use the printed minifig head if you want the character to wear a hood or something
The body you came up with is fantastic. Brick built heads are difficult.
Excellent creature shaping!
Obviously the molded ones are better than brickbuilt but this one is damn good!
