Not showing your kids online is the smartest decision, Leena. I love that you are considering that. I love kids, I'm studying to be a kids psychologist because I feel like my duty is to help children in every way I can. And I see a lot of horrible things happening with kids online. Thank you for considering that. I agree with Omar, you seem like an amazing mom 💘

So true. Kids are what I call "miniature people." The point is, they are people. With emotions and feelings. Maybe they do not want their business plastered all over the internet. But they have no choice. I kept mine off until grown.

Really agree about transitioning out of showing your kids. I feel like as parents it's part of our duty to protect our kids' privacy on the internet until they are adults and able to make the decision themselves about how much (IF ANY) of themselves they want to show online. Especially when they're young - we owe it to our kids to protect them online.

My aunt and uncle are planning to move to Oman inshallah. They went to tour the country 2 weeks ago and had nothing but the most glowing things to say. They have been married for 1 1/2 years and are planning to start a family, so not only did they look for advantages jobs-wise but also lifestyle and family-wise. They highly recommend Oman as the work-life there is so balanced for men and women, also, the environment is very Muslim friendly and your children will definitely grow with morals and values that align with your mentality/culture. I don't know what your husband does for work but the job opportunity is niche in Oman so that should be something y'all should look into. May Allah may every journey of your and your families life be full of ease and blessings ameen!!! LOVE UR VIDS BTW

One of the biggest issues muslim women living in the west face is that we’re ‘empowered’ to work and spend away, but when our finances also becomes the means of holding down the house we begin to resent our husbands. Because we become both homemaker, mother and home-earner. Many of us women have realised this doesn’t make us happy or fulfilled, it creates a lot of pressure and distance in marriage too. We begin to loose respect for our husbands and overlook them in ways.
It’s why many muslims are also considering leaving western countries because opportunities aside, the harm is beginning to outweigh the benefits. We are also considering moving to Oman it is a beautiful calm and conservative country. All the best Leena and Omar

Have you thought about doing a live broadcast with non-Muslim women to ask Muslim sheikhs about the rights of Muslim women and their differences from liberal women, such as doing an interview with Sheikh Joe Bradford, Sheikh Tom, Imam Tom Facchine, or Imam Sajid Libhan?

Great video. Its seems a number of us are surprised to hear you both prefer sleeping separately rather than together. Especially since culturally, religiously, and in part naturally, spouses tend to sleeping with one another rather than separately or with their children, especially children of the opposite sex. Would you mind making a video explaining how you both came down to this arrangement and how it's been working?

Just on sharing a bed, most couple with young toddlers go through this phase. Islamically, the concept of sharing the bed as a couple naturally creates bonding (regardless of whether you’re still intimate at other times). The prophet pbuh encourages laying together and sharing a bed, indicated by a Hadith with Fatima & Ali (RA).

The relationship between a husband and wife is dependent upon their relationship with their Creator. A good visual representation of that is a triangle. The husband and wife are at the bottom two opposite ends of the triangle and Allah SWT at the top of the triangle. The closer the husband and wife get to Allah SWT (picture them moving up the side of the triangle to the top), the closer they will both be to each other because the distance between them gets smaller as they both move up to the tip of the triangle :).

Mashallah Leena, it seems to me that you and your husband are very aware and are educating yourselves well about our beloved religion. May Allah grant you ease in raising your children and give you patience with the sleepless nights.
May Allah grant you increased income as a reward for wanting to shield your children from growing up online and on people's screens. My husband and I moved our family of 5 to Jordan last year after almost 10 years in the US and it's definitely been an adjustment. But we are loving the good weather, living in a predominantly muslim society and that our children get to learn arabic in school. Math is also taught much better and more advanced than in Michigan where we were living. We are grateful Allah granted us this opportunity and I would advise anyone who wants their children growing up in a God conscious society to make this bold move, if it is possible.

For the past 6 months me and my husband have been thinking of moving abroad, particularly to the middle east (Abu Dhabi, Saudi, Jordan or Egypt). If we can afford to move our parents, we definitely will. I've become less happy living in the UK especially since Isreals attack on Gaza and seeing the governments support to Isreal, I don't want to be apart for that. InshAllah we will find a country where our kids will be safe and happy and where we can focus on our deen

Why did you move to the UK in the first place? I mean, I wouldn't really want to live there either, but if it's such a different place to where you're from. why go to begin with?

@@erin6945 I was born in the UK. It didn't seem like a bad country when growing up but as I've become a bit older, had kids and converted to Islam about 2 years ago and started to pay attention to politics I've started to see that this isn't the country that I want to stay in and have my kids grow up in

I love you two and your family. I agree that 20-30% of your life is too much to share online even though it has made us feel like we really know you and connect with you. 5-10% but definitely no more 15% is probably the safe amount to share online because of all the trolls. May Allah guide them to kindness and compassion. Aameen.

You can still show your mom content without showing your kids , i think just start by maybe not showing their faces and slowly go up from there , you're doing the right thing , people are sometimes hateful and it's best to protect your children from that. May Allah bless your family ❤

Blocking his friends without him even knowing about it? That’s self esteem issues and it isn’t fair on his friends thinking he ghosted the friendship. Unless they were inappropriate messages or something.

If I could move with all my family, I would definitely move because the food here in America is not very healthy. Like the meat, and poultry and stuff aren’t the healthiest compared to other countries. I’ll probably consider it even if I couldn’t move my parents and siblings.
