Great to be able to share that magic moment when Chillie comes to life again. No one who has been through the hassle of starting a bike laid up for the winter can fail to appreciate that. When you get back on you will feel better.
Hello Kinga! Hope you're feeling better & Canada is treating you a little better after picking Chille up. That is totally crazy about the insurance! I live in Canada, so it doesn't really surprise me. Anyway, hope after all that you're having a good time! 👍👍
Congratulations, you get Chillie back, Kinga. Incredible!!! Now, you can discover Canada, many kilometers you have to go, be prepared and protected from mosquito bites, the cold weather and the moist, stay away from the bears. Have a great and pleasant trip through that beautiful country.nothing can go wrong... I miss something!? 😀
perfect 👍👌 Kinga you have recovered your motorcycle calmly that despite the problems everything will turn out well for you greetings from Valencia 🙏 Spain
I admire your resilience and the help and hosting of Costa and his wife. Those fork stanchion protectors are a really good idea, the equivalent of "gaitors" on "bottom slider" forks. It keeps the stanchion surface smooth so it doesn't prematurely wear out the slider seals.
Kinga all good things come in time. You met phenomenal people, your in Canada and you have Chillie. Welcome to the northern hemisphere, where things can get complicated 🤪.
It's been a long time since I've read any magazines, but I recognize Costa's name. Someone made a HD scrambler from a Sportster and then an article. I shipped a Canadian bike to the port of Vancouver. The shipper was quite a distance from Canada Customs downtown, but the shipper must have taken care of the inspection. Running paperwork was the biggest part. International insurance seems to be about the same $ from Canada as it was 20 years ago.
I wrote my previous post before watching the end of your video. I'm pretty sure you would have had a hard time finding somebody more qualified than Costa to put you back on your wheels. The insurance problem not withsanding, I hope you have a good time in Québec. Enjoy.
yup sometimes life is complicated even in Canada......heading out to Montreal first trip....appreciate your inspiring journey.......welcome to Canada🌞🌞
So glad we will see you riding again in my beautiful country! Fun fact, Costa was one my instructor when I did my motorcycle course a few years ago in Montreal!! Yes he is really the legend you say he is! Ride on!!
Welcome to Canada Kinga. Sadly I missed you in Vancouver. I see you’re well connected here. Many familiar faces and names. Nice to see Megan and of course Costa. It would be nice to shake hands down the road somewhere.
i have similar but a bit longer neoprene-sleeves on my ktm-they are absolutely awesome piece of kit,and i recommend them to everyone who rides an adventure-bike
Welcome back 🌶🤩. Everything’s fine your in Canada .Kinga got you some shock covers and new tires, you’ll be riding and camping soon. Keep her safe and Have Fun!! ✌️😎
The Kingafix I've been waiting for! Kinga I'm thrilled to see two of my favourite ladies reunited but annoyed with the stupid rules and costs that have dulled the excitement you had earned. You'll get through this. Sooo pleased Costa was there for you. Now go get that hairstyle on the road!💖👍🏻🇳🇿
This was a very interesting video such as importing your motorcycle with all the troubles around it. Also seeing the explanation about the fuel in Canada. Thanks for this video and hi from the Netherlands.
Paperwork and government mistakes go together everywhere it seems... The whole process should be electronic by now, and smooth. Good luck in Canada! Hope you get places before the weather turns.
Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻Chillie! 👍🏻👍🏻 Costa thanks for taking care of Kinga! Challenges to overcome. Kinga will not be stopped!
At time of this publication, she already had completed her trip to the maritimes provinces, Newfoudland, came back across Trans-Labrador highway and she just published a post on Facebook showing her in Toronto en route to Niagara Falls and down the USA.....
A bit cold, rainy and chilly to go out riding today… (from a biker that just went out for quick ride) 😄 I wish her safe travels and keep the shinny side up
🇨🇦 As a Canadian rider I can tell you insurance rates in our country for larger newer bikes is astronomically expensive especially in light of our short riding season. So I feel your pain. I wonder if your issue was more specific to Quebec which is quite motorcycle unfriendly? Also Canadian governments love their rules and paperwork. Other silly Gov't rules include regulations that do not allow the option of installing a cellular based anti-theft gps tracking device on your bike. Go figure. I hope the scenery you experience makes up for the high cost of insurance. Kind regards from BC 🇨🇦
Welcome to Canada Kinga & Chili! Sorry to hear it’s dealing you the most stress you’ve encountered in 5 years of globetrotting. Sadly doesn’t surprise this local though….We’re “free” to do as we please here, (so long as it complies with an ever increasing jumble of ridiculous government bureaucracy & overreach & we’re willing to jump through all their expensive, nonsensical hoops) With any luck, the hospitality & vast incredible scenery will somehow make up for it & be worthwhile!
Do you have ruff idea of the shipment cost to Canada? You mentioned $900 for import fees I am thinking of sending my bike from South Africa to Uk I am so glad to see that Chillie got to you safe, good luck with the insurance. I do enjoy watching your rides, and my self need to make more time, to be in the saddle. Safe travels Kinga. Kind regards Reinhard.
Strange thing, but Total Express is right next door to my working place. You could have taken your bike out of the crate at my work place with no headache at all. We have all the equipment to handle crates like that. I'm actually an industrial mechanic, so all the tools needed to open up the crate and reassemble anything that could have been dismantled was on the spot.
If it involves paper work and government it will generally be a c.f. I spy'd a Suzuki GS1000S in the garage. Is Costa a member of GS Resources? Its a great Suzuki GS forum that I just happen to be in. Welcome to North America. Safe travels
Bureaucratic beat down, but all is well when underway, eh? That speaking style and a tooker will get you far, in the north they say (winter hat)) all the best for better!
Your'e a very lucky person, if the biggest problem you have had in the last five years is an expensive insurance (how come you did not know this in the first place, anyways) and a bladder infection, so count your blessings and relax. Now, be forewarned, there is only about six weeks until you can expect snow on the roads in SOUTHERN Canada, never mind up north, so get your bike on the road and travel safely Kinga. Whatever trips ylou plan to do further north than say Quebec City, do it now.
Episode 163….. is this all the episodes so far…..or do you break down the countries into series with episode….. will this be Eastern Canada, with Epi # 1….⁉️⁉️
@@kingkrimson8771 Yes, it's true..... and as far as the octane rating is concerned, everything is clear as day. In the video, Kinga said that 98 octane gasoline is the strongest in Europe, which I just denied with my comment. Many greetings.😊😊😊
What a great man and friend Costa is! Wow! And his wife is so friendly and supportive.🏆 God bless them all. 🙏 Take care, Kinga ❤️

I would have bet anything that the crate wouldn't fit on the truck. Glad it worked out.
Yeah, I remember having read Costa's motorcycles articles and reviews in Moto Journal or other canadian motorcycle magazines. Amazing!

What a great people and life ! I would like to visit those people and see their good lifes one day.
welcome to my city!
I've bought an 02' Adventure when it was a year old, and added some neoprene sleeves, never had a need for that forking work.

The octane rating system you use is different than the one we use in North America. Your 100 octane would probably be equivalent to 95 octane here.
