I cleaned out my tea storage area too! Now having a cup of tea and sewing my granddaughters their costumes while I listen to you. I also want to organize my pantry (which is merely a deep cupboard). I need two of me!
My momma had a chest freezer and couldn't reach the things in the bottom. She would hang me by my legs and dangle me over the bottom of the freezer to get the stuff she couldn't reach. 🤣🤣🤣 Have a great day!
Thanks, love my upright freezer so much better than when had chest. I do have a chest freezer at cottage, it’s smaller and I can reach the bottom…. Bonus.
I don't mind it getting dark early as much as having to wake up and leave home at night in the morning. I kind of need daylight to begin my day properly. Lived in a country where the sun didn't rise after around 7:30 am even in the dead of winter and I really really liked it (even with the downside of it being totally dark ar around 3:30 pm).
I have an upright freezer as well. Just make sure the door is closed tightly every time !! We had fresh freezer corn and we stuck the whole pan in and left town. Well the pan kept it from sealing and we had to dump all of our work out!! I check it all the time now !!
You had “Stash” tea stashed..lol. I’ve started drinking my David’s tea. I bought 10 boxes of my fav. If it runs out I’ll live and have more space. Occasionally if I need a small gift I will give some of my “ like “ teas away to family. We all have different tastes. In southern Ontario 🇨🇦I start using light up decor etc. in the PM when it start getting dark after dinner. The Christmas tree becomes a huge nightlight..ha ha.
Stand-up freezers are better than chest freezers because you can see the food and reach it more easily. Chest freezers are sometimes less expensive per cubic feet of storage. I decided to wait for a sale to get a stand-up freezer for the garage.
If you don't have a generator a chest freezer is better for storing your expensive items like your proteins. If you lose power, chest freezers keep your items Frozen longer than stand up. I have had both in my lifetime and at this point where we're getting close to being empty nesters and not going through our proteins as fast I would pick a chest freezer all day long.
Oh you're right! Our freezer managed to keep everything frozen for those 3 days. We managed to borrow a generator that worked for 8 hours, then died, so it helped the freezer limp along, but the indoor fridge & freezer lost a LOT of food
@MinimalistHome when to comes to keeping items organized and accessible, stand-up is the way to go, but I can not afford to lose 1/4 of a cow and 1/2 a pig, and 12 whole chickens.. I just try my best to keep certain items in assigned locations in the chest freezer and I use heavy duty baskets to hold items. So I can lift out a whole section at a time.

I use small baskets & bins for my nightstand drawers. Also use the same in closets & some kitchen drawers.

Oh my gosh! That’s so funny! I’m sure your mom appreciated your help! 🤣
I was trying to reach bottom of my new chest freezer. leaned too far inside. Ended up breaking s rib!!! Pain for about 8-10 days.
Hey I was dangled for a time before my sister came along..lol.
We put reaching / grabbers in in the laundry / freezer room and one upstairs too.

That makes sense! I might replace that other one soon!

Hospital tapes everywhere! Tell me that you are a nurse without telling me that you are a nurse 😁!
I also do not like it getting dark early. I would much rather it be dark in the morning. I need to go through my freezer now that I see you doing it.
I just threw out a bunch of tea last week! Some were expired ! Are your teas loose leaf ? I just switched and got a stainless tea ball
Yes, loose leaf!
@@MinimalistHome I’m new to that but I love it. What company do you mostly recommend?
Your husband may need to get A CPAP
Yes!! He has a call today, thank goodness!
You don't get more or less daylight with time changes.
She said she didn’t like it being dark at 4. I think she understands time change 😂
I just don't like the dark when it's earlier, that' just how it goes sadly
