Thanks, whenever I find one that doesn't warrant a large video I try to shorten in down as much as possible for these. Glad you like it!

With hundreds of Famicom games i never had this issue... maybe Nintendo rushed the design of NES cartridges and should have just kept the Famicom shells...

Its possible... I know a lot of the games I buy that require repairs are not taken care of at all, hence the need for the repairs in the first place. I always thought most of these kinds of fixes could probably be avoided with proper handling and storage of cartridges though.

First, want to give props for a video that doesnt waste time.
Have the exct same problem. I do have the plastic part that broke. My question is what type of glue would you recommend? Since there will be quite a lot of force applied to the plastic tabs the glue needs to bevery strong i eould think.

Thank you! I've used regular old super glue in the past and that seemed to work really well for me. I just wouldn't recommend using the game until its cured fully. But if you're worried about it you can always pick up a form of clear epoxy. Just make sure to wipe off the excess before it cures fully.

@@gamejaeger Thanks for the reply. Do ou think using something like the ones from glue guns would be enough? Was thinking on buying one for these type of projects.
The epoxy would work but its dificult to apply, messy & it always ends up wasted after some uses. Which is a shame since its relatively expensive.

If your doing small projects then I would say shy away from the larger glue gun style. I know there are small kits like a two part that is in a syringe that you can just squeeze out what you need, I think JB Weld makes it. I've used that stuff before and it worked great. Just need to mix it thoroughly and apply it with a toothpick to small spots. But I believe there are others that are not 2 parts that require mixing that you can just get in small tubes too.

@@gamejaeger Thank you, will start looking for the small ones.

No problem, I used the JB Weld cold weld and kwik weld before and both are traditional 2 part epoxies that comes in smaller tubes. The larger syringe is extra strength stuff so that might be overkill for fixing game carts lol. But It looks like they are all about $7-$10 on amazon currently, so not crazy expensive.

I had a cartridge with a similar issue a while back but I fixed it with a toothpick and hot glue.

That's a good way to do it too...

For sure, I just had some screws gathering dust so might as well use them for something.
