I just love his sweet soul. He's such a giving man. His home, his "hobbit house", is a stunning work of art! I have a feeling this lovely home is ever-evolving. A true work of love and his life. Another thing that shows the kindness of this gentle man's heart, is that any money he makes regarding his home is given to those in need. What a kind, warm-hearted, humble man.
What a sweet, humble, generous man! Why can't more people be like him? I feel like the adorable Hobbit house is merely an afterthought in the video; as this wonderful human being totally steals the show! This is truly the way to live well, to be joyful in caring for your fellow man. I pray that God would give us all a genuinely desire to love people in helpful, practical ways. Just think what the world would be like, if everyone showed a little more kindness, humility, and selflessness, like this man does. What a delightful world that would be!
What a wonderful man with a generous spirit, gives what he makes to charity. It's wonderful to see this and the beautiful house he has created. Makes such a difference to all the ugly stories we hear. God bless him. 🙏🌹🌹
Sweet kind soul, living in the house that labour of his own hands, mind and imagination. And thinking of others at his venerable age. My outmost respects. Absolutely in love with house ❤,wishing a good health .
What a beautiful legacy of love he's built, one charitable act at a time. I wonder how many people he's helped, as he's journeyed through life, probably far more than even he knows. Love for people, that's his legacy, and eternal inheritance. It's worth ever so much more than his lovely Hobbit house, or anything that his hands have built. I'm not usually an emotional person, but, this man reminds me a LOT of my grandfather. My grandpa was an excellent farmer, and all around handyman. He built his own house, shed, garage, 2 outdoor fireplaces and a man-made pond. He was hardworking and very generous. He'd secretly buy clothes and school supplies for poor children, leaving them on the doorstep. We'd have great fun ringing the doorbell and hiding somewhere. He also grew around 30 times the amount of produce that he needed for his own household. He provided all of our local extended family with vegetables, and distributed the rest to the poor, especially widows, and military families. As I watch this, all I see is my grandpa.
The bank behind our house would be a perfect place to put the ruins of an old hobbit house ,I have thought about it for a long time but still haven't started it
Absolutely stunning, you can keep your big fancy house in town with the Jonse's for neighbours, this is my dream home, i was almost moved to tears, beautiful, and the garden! Yes, I'd have this life over any.
❤❤❤ ran across this video, searching for hobbit homes.. I surely hope this man is doing well.... he doesn't look it, nor act 90!!! He's a cutie pie❤😊 My ancestors' heritage traced way back are from here... love the accent, the clothes, the land....hope to get there one day while I can still, see, walk, and comprehend. Such a fine heart, he has... Love love love your hobbit abode..
The house is incredible. Definitely his labour of love. My wish should he ever part this earth, that this dwelling be placed on the historical society's care. Provided of course that no living relative is available to inherit the place. I wouldn't want to see this go the way alot of houses have gone across Europe. Squabbles by relatives over possessions, houses in receiverships to banks because relatives refuse the inheritance because of taxes & other costs to the point these properties become derelict, vandalised & just time capsules for urbexers.
Hello Brigitte, my family and I are doing a roadtrip in Scotland in September and would like to see this very unusual house. Unfortunately I can't find the location of the house anywhere. Can you help me? If so, it would be very nice if you could send me the address. Kind regards, Jürgen
@@jurgenganz6155 Honestly, I have no idea where this house is located. Might want to talk to a travel agent about that. Or Google for where these homes are. If you have the patience use Google Earth.
Yes, that would be like a 6' man...or perhaps a wee bit more. 😉 Guess we'd have to call this a HUMAN Hobbit House. 😁 edit: But this is wonderful, gorgeous, beautiful.....this gentleman is indeed an artist!
Craft's of the Crofts my Ulster Scot, Scots Irish, Scottish American heritage. A simple dairy farm life I grew up in Southern California gone now. Dairies I grew up on turned into housing tracts warehouses, distribution, shopping centers, etcetera. Historical plaques, street, park, school names etcetera all that's left. Lucky I got to grow up before all was gone. Don't understand people. Land of milk and honey wasn't good enough had to have more. Vineyards, oranges lemons, watermelons, strawberries, walnuts, potato's, alfalfa, beef, chickens, eggs, etcetera. All the food you can imagine practically or at times free. Sacrilege stuck shopping grocery store for everything now grown on corporate factory farms. Feel sorry for kids these days. China Disney, Walmart generations.shopbtillvyou drop gone to hell in a handbasket made in China mothers and grandmother's, most don't even know how to cook let alone sew clothes and take care of the home for the kids. Can't wait till school starts back up a common refrain, can't wait to get rid of the kids and let the schools raise them. Turning boys into girls and girls into boys. Lord have Mercy.
If I'm half that successful and comfortable at 90, I'll consider my life well lived.
Yes...I agree with you.
Amen!!!
same 💚

Doing pretty well for 90. May he live his days in comfort and joy in the little proper house he made with relish. Slainte.
He has a warm place to sleep with a roof over his head that he made. And he knows how privledged he is. Life goals.

Incredible
I was Monty’s double!
Are the bodies of the wee lasses buried 'round back?
If that's a Hobbit house, why is this fellow taller than 1.2m, the maximum possible height for a Hobbit ?
Yes, that would be like a 6' man...or perhaps a wee bit more. 😉 Guess we'd have to call this a HUMAN Hobbit House. 😁 edit: But this is wonderful, gorgeous, beautiful.....this gentleman is indeed an artist!
